Note: This is mainly based for wolves, but cougars can use it too. Just replace wolf to cougar and pup to cub.

Further is used a websites for gaining knowledge about it. Most of them comes from the Warrior Cats, by Erin hunter.

Name: Alder Tree Bark
Description:Bark of the Alder tree.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: For tooth pain.
Effect: Eases toothaches.

Name: Alfalfa
Description: - A flowering plant.
Location: Unknown.
Practice:Chewed on
Effect: Prevents tooth decay. High in protein and vitamins. Young leaves used for disorders and aids digestion.
Note: Don’t use large quantities of it. NOT to be taken when pregnant or nursing .

Name: Aloe Vera
Description: - A stemless or very short-stemmed plant. The leaves are thick and fleshy, green to grey-green. and has small white teeth.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Leaves can be chewed and spit on skin problems and burns.
Effect: The gel inside of the leaves helps cure skin problems and burns.
Note: NOT to be taken when pregnant or nursing.

Name: Ash Tree
Description: A tree.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: New shoots should be chewed and then applied to an Adder or Viper wound.
Effect: to resist the effects of the poison from Adders Or Vipers.
Note: Makes you not immune against it!

Description: A small berry, ripening red or dark blue, often with a pink or violet waxy surface bloom.

Effect: Stomachache, heartburn, and other indigestion problems.
Note: Mixed with other plants to treat spider bites.

Description: The leaves may taste somewhat like anise, with a strong, pungent, often sweet smell.

Description: Leaves from the prickly blackberry bush.
Location: Almost anywhere; they are very hardy plants.
Practice: These leaves are chewed into a pulp.
Effect: Eases the swelling of beestings.

Name: Borage
Description: The plant can be distinguished by its small blue or pink star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves.
Location: Grows best in forests.
Practice: Chewed an eaten.
Effect: Leaves and roots are to be chewed and eaten to reduce and stave off fevers. The seeds helping newly mothers to provide more and better milk.
Note: - Any type of Borage should be fresh, never dried.

Description: A thorny plant where bramble fruit grows on. Known as Blackberry and Raspberry.

Practice: Chewed to a fine syrup, then consumed, for sleeping.
Effect: Helps to sleep.
Note: Watch out for the thorns, when chewing on them.

Name: Broken Rosemary Blooms
Description: The flowers of the Rosemary are: white, pink, purple or deep blue.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Unknown.
Effect: Heals wounds near the eyes or eyelids; also helps for eye infections.

Name: Burdock
Description: A tall-stemmed, sharp-smelling thistle with dark leaves.
Location: Best in dry areas.
Practice:
- Burdock leaves: If chewed, should be applied to a NON-INFECTED wound.
- Burdock Root: The sap is used for (rat) bites; usually infected ones; may also draw out infection, which is applied to rat bites.
Effect:
Burdock leaves: To speed up healing.
Bordock Root: Lessens the pain of bites, especially rat bites.
Note: A healer must dig up the roots, wash off the dirt and chew them into a pulp.

Description: Flowers are white on a long stem, their appearance being that of a round spiny button. Fruit is a hard dry capsule. Bark is very bitter.

Name: Catchweed
Description: A plant with fuzzy green balls on long clining stems.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Place it on the fur where poultices are.
Effect: Burrs are used to help hold treatment onto a wolf.
Note: A human term for this is adhesive bandage or sticking plaster.

Name: Celandine
Description: Yellow flower with four petals.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Juice is trickled into the eye.
Effect: Used to sooth weak eyes, and helps those with weak eyes.

Name: Chamomile
Description: A small, white flower with a large, yellow center.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Used to calm a wolf down.
Effect: Strengthens the heart and soothes the mind. Also given to travelling wolves for strength.

Description: A flowering plant.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Rubt on.
Effect: Helps clean the face. (acne)

Name: Chervil
Description: A sweet-smelling plant with large, leafy, fern-like leaves and small white flowers.
Location: Forest.
Practice:Chewed to extract the juice of the leaves or the root.
Effect: Used to soothes eyes, especially for blind or nearly blind wolves. Juice is used for infected wounds. Root is chewed on to ease bellyache. Can be used during labor.

Name: Chickweed
Description: Tall-stemmed plant with fat, almond-shaped leaves.
Location: In the Forest.
Practice: Eaten
Effect: Treats greencough, though catmint is often preferred. Which kits and elders usually catch in the season of leaf-bare. Can also be used for whitecough.
Note: No Catmint in existence, so this is the only remedy. For cougars. Wolves also?

Name: Cobwebs
Description: Long, thin, shiny strands spun into a web by spiders. Very common.
Location: Everywhere around you.
Practice: Press over wound.
Effect: T o soak up and stop (or slow) the bleeding. It may also be used to bind broken bones.
Note: Watch out not to take the spider with you when harvesting it and or applying it to your patient.

Name: Coltsfoot
Description: A flowering plant with yellow or white flowers resembling dandelions.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Leaves chewed into a pulp.
Effect: Used to help with coughs, especially for pups. As well as cracked or sore pads.

Name: Comfrey
Description: It has large leaves, small bell-shaped flowers, which are pink, white, or purple, and fat, black roots. Tangy smell.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Roots are chewed into a poultice.
Effect: Repairs broken bones or soothes wounds. Also used for wrenched claws. Can be used for itching, used for inflammation on stiff joints.
Note: HELP cure... Does not replace bark used for splints.

Description: Thick, dark green, oval shaped leaves.

Effect: Eases the pain of aching joints. It is also a travelling herb.

Name: Dandelion
Description: Common yellow-flowered plant with long, hollow stems.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: The white liquid is applied to bee stings. Leaves can be chewed.
Effect: Soothes and heals bee stings. Its leaves can also be chewed to act like a painkiller.

Name: Dock
Description: Common, large-leafed plant with a tangy smell and taste.
Location: Doesn't grow well in mountains, best in leafy areas.
Practice: Chewed up and applied to scratches. Similar to sorrel.
Effect: Soothes scratches, though can sting when being applied. Also used to make fur slippery when stuck in a tight space.

Name: Fennel
Description: Thin, spiky leaves.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Stalks are broken and juice is squeezed into the receiver’s mouth.
Effect: Helps pain in the hips. Can be used during labor.

Name: Feverfew
Description: Small bush with flowers resembling daisies.
Location: Grows best along the water.

Effect: Reduces body temperature for wolves with fever or chills. Also heals aches and pains, such as headaches.

Description: A tall plant with bright, yellow flowers.

Description: Small, bell-shaped flowers.

Practice:The nectar used in herbal mixtures.
Effect: Makes swallowing easier and sweetens mixtures.

Name: Honey
Description: A sweet, golden-coloured liquid made by bees.
Location: In honeycombs or bees nests up in trees.
Practice: Eaten, or given by moss soaked in it.
Effect: Soothes infections, smoke-damaged or sore throats, and helps wolves swallow other concoctions. Works particularly well on pups.
Note: Hard to get and not to get stung in the process.

Name: Horsetail
Description: A tall, bristly-stemmed plant, referred to with fleshy stalks.
Location: Any marshy area.
Practice: Chewed to a poultice, and applied to wounds.
Effect: Treats infections.

Description: Purple-blue berries from the dark green, spiky-leaved juniper bush.

Effect: Soothes bellyaches, gives strength, and helps troubled breathing. It is also used to help calm wolves.

Name: Lamb's Ear
Description: Soft, fuzzy green plant.
Location: Commonly found in the mountains.

Description: A small, purple, flowering plant.

Practice: Eaten en to be sniffed.
Effect: Eat for easing pains in the head and throat; Cures fever and chills. Inhaling calm the nerves. Also a herb used to hide the scent of death.

Description: Three-nubbed leaves from a flowering shrub, sweet rose scent.

Name: Marigold
Description: A low-growing flower, yellow to bright orange.
Location: Near water.
Practice: Petals or leaves chewed in a poultice. Juice can be used as well.
Effect: Stops infection. Stops bleeding. Used for inflammation of stiff joints.

Name: Mouse Bile
Description: Extracted from the mouse, has a foul smell.
Location: a mouse, happy hunting. Or from their drops or vomit
Practice: Dipped on a tick. When not needed, it’s stored in moss.
Effect: Tick falls off.
Note: Smell can be masked by wild garlic, or by washing paws in running water. If accidentally swallowed, can leave a horrible taste in mouth for days. Healers always have to remember to wash their paws in a body of water, such as a creek or stream, after using mouse bile.

Name: Dried Oak Leaf
Description: Round, cartoony ruffled leaves.
Location: All over the forest floor and collected in leaf-fall.
Practice: Unknown, but stored in a dry place.
Effect: Stops infection from setting in.

Name: Parsley
Description: A long-stemmed plant with ragged-edged crinkly leaves, Sharp scent, tastes cold and fresh, tastes the same fresh or dried.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Eaten.
Effect: Stops a newly mother from producing milk if her pups die, don't need milk anymore, or are producing too much milk. Also used to cure bellyache.

Name: Poppy Seeds
Description: Small black seeds that are shaken out of a dried poppy flowerhead.
Location: All over forest.
Practice: Chewed on.
Effect: They can put a wolf to sleep, soothe shock or distress, or ease pain.
Note: Not recommended for nursing mothers.

Name: Ragweed
Description: Ragged-leaved plant resembling a fern.
Location: Thought to be commonly found in the mountains.
Practice: Thought to give cougar extra strength
Effect: Like lamb's ear, ragweed gives a cougar extra strength and energy.
Note: Not sure if it is also for a wolf.

Name: Ragwort Leaves
Description: Tall shrub with yellow flowers, Tastes foul to cats.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Crushed and chewed; mixed with juniper berries, it can help aching joints.
Effect: Treats aching joints and keeps a wolf's strength up.

Name: Rasberry Leaves
Description: Soft to the touch, but with jagged edges.
Location: Unknown
Practice: It could be a painkiller, or to help stop bleeding during the labor.
Effect: Could possibly ease pain, or to stop the bleeding.

Description: It has long narrow leaves and lavender-colored head stalks.

Description: The best remedy for poison, especially snake bites

Effect: Thought to heal poison

Name: Stinging Nettle
Description: It has green, spiny seeds.
Location: All over the forest.
Practice: The seeds are eaten by a wolf who's swallowed poison, or the leaves are chewed into a poultice for a wound.
Effect: Induces vomiting, or brings down swelling, respectively. Can be mixed with comfrey to help heal broken bones. Helps with wounds.
Note: Gotten an itch from this plant? You can use Horsetail, dock leaf or jewelweed, underside of a fern, and others.

Name: Tansy
Description: The tansy plant has round, yellow leaves, and has a very sweet and strong scent, making it good for disguising a wolf’s scent.
Location: forest.
Practice: To be consumed, but only in small doses.
Effect: Cures coughs. Can be used to cure wounds and poisons. Stops cougars from getting greencough. Soothes throats. Ants hate it.
Note: NOT to be used by pregnant females.

Name: Tormentil
Description: It has a strong, romantic scent to it and a sharp taste.
Location: Unknown
Practice: Chewed and put on the wound.
Effect: Its root is good for treating all wounds and extracting poison.

Description: A thistle-like plant. Green leaves, yellow flower.

Practice: It is usually chewed into a pulp, and then eaten.
Effect: Eases the suffering that originates from a bellyache.
Note: Also used to smooth fur and hide the scent of death from it.

Description: Due to its strong smell, it is good for hiding the scent of a certain Pack, and disguising wolves on raids.

Name: Yarrow
Description: A flowering plant.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: ts leaves are chewed into a poultice that can be given to wolves or applied to a wound depending on the situation.
Effect: Extracts poison from wounds. Will make a wolf vomit up toxins. The ointment will soften and help heal cracked pads.

Deadly plants / herbs.

Name: Birthwort
Description: The plants are aromatic and their strong scent attracts insects.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: accelerates childbirth.
Effect: When chewed, induces contractions during labor.
Note: Careful, this plant is toxic!

Name: Deathberries
Description: Red berries from the dark-leaved and poisonous yew bush.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Taking a life without spilling blood.
Effect: The berries can easily kill a wolf (Typically, about six will kill an otherwise healthy soldier) if eaten and not expelled quickly enough. So is also any other part of the plant.
Note: Also known as Yew berries, Night seeds.
Note 2: The red flesh is harmless, the seeds are very poisonous.

Name: Foxglove Seeds
Description: Tiny, black seeds from the bell-shaped flower of the foxglove plant.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: They are used to treat the heart.
Effect: They can easily cause paralysis and heart failure.
Note: Easily mistaken for poppy seeds, because they look extremely similar.

Name: Holly Berries
Description: Plant with spiny leaves that produces red berries with no medicinal value.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: Unknown.
Effect: Kills easily a pup.
Note: Not as dangerous as deathberries, but that doesn’t say you may eat them.

Name: Nightshade
Description: Tubular flower with radiating petals.
Location: Unknown.
Practice: To kill a wolf who cannot be saved quickly.
Effect: Poisonous.
Note: also known as the Belladonna.

Name: Water Hemlock
Description: Green or white flowers with petals in umbrella-shaped clusters.
Location: Unknown
Practice: Unknown.
Effect: Causes writhing and foaming at the mouth.
Note: Is a very poisonous plant. Yarrow is a cure for this.
