DESCRIPTION (Physical and personality):
Personality: Two Birds was a mischevious little pup that quite enjoyed causing mischief, exploring, and (unfortunately) theiving. It seems she took after her grandfather on that until she became apprenticed to the pack Spiritual Silver Eagle. He'd taught her to grow out of that, but he couldn't get her to grow out of her puppish behavior. She's a very happy she-wolf, almost always smiling and wagging her tail. But she's not a dimwit, either. She takes her rank seriously, and won't let any distractions keep her from doing what she needs to do.
HISTORY (if any): Wind Feather was born and grew up in The Black Mountain Pack. Too young to really remember, her brother Half Cloud died, and it was around then that her Spiritual power was beginning to become noticed. She was taken in by their Spiritual, Silver Eagle, and diligently pursued her blessed skills. Now she holds the rank of full Spiritual.

CHARACTER NAME: Unknown One (pup name was Shadscale)

DESCRIPTION: Unknown One, by looks, seems malnourished and nothing but a pile of bones. This is due to his unhealthy addiction to chewing small amounts of poisonous plants to gain a high. His typical facial expression is..well..expressionless though if one looked closely enough into his dark blue eyes they might see a glint within. As if he were planning something.
HISTORY: Shadscale was born to Cattail and MudClaw, the only male child they'd had. He started out a happy pup, always bounding around his mother's paws, until the day he found out that his big sister Morninglilly was infact not a true daughter of his parents. Knowing now that she was in line for Alphaship that she wasn't Alphablood, made Shadscale livid. He had thought for sure he was in line, being the only male and having thought there was just no better choice than himself, sent him into a dark behavior.
Now known as Unknown One, he plots against his sister. A no-good wolf, he enjoys ingesting small amounts of toxic plants to 'get a high' and in all reality could probably be a great Healer...if he had the mind or care to be one and didn't have interest only in what could get him feeling good.

CHARACTER NAME: Hailstorm (pup name Flame Tip)
CHARACTER RANK: Alpha
CHARACTER AGE: 2 years
CHARACTER GENDER: Female
PACK AFFILIATION: The Black Mountain Pack
DESCRIPTION: Her base pelt is a dark chocolatey brown. Enveloping her head and draining down her throat to her underbelly and inside of her legs is a pure jet black, offset by a medium grey splotch that wraps around the right side of her head to include her ear and right eye and a matching grey that colors all four legs, about shin-high, and an oval-ish splotch that arcs down her left hip.. Speaking of eyes, Hailstorm's are a brilliant orange. The she-Alpha's height is slightly above average, but nothing like her grandmother Sage Ghost is. She has a lean, but tightly muscular build with slightly longer and narrower than normal, but vicious, jaws. Her tail is always kept erect, head always up, and face usually stoic. Hailstorm's voice is a velvety sound, with a slightly deeper tone which makes her howl particular to herself. When Hailstorm walks, it's with purpose and care. She does not tromp through the woods like a bear, but steps silently and quickly...time and time of practice allowing her to place her paws just so to keep from making as much noise as possible.
PERSONALITY: Flame Tip was a very dominant pup, sometimes even pushing other pups around and keeping them in line just to express that dominance. However, there's also a kinder side to her dominance. She would stubbornly protect another pup being bullied or in danger.
Now an adult and Alpha, Hailstorm does not tolerate insubordination or blatant idiocy...yet just as in her younger years she also fiercely protects any wolf in need. This lady is one that is not afraid to speak her mind or take action that needs to be done no matter what that may be. Though she's never killed a wolf, or in fact done anything overly aggressive to one as of yet, there's no doubt that she would if need be. Hailstorm knows she has big paws to fill, having heard the stories of Sage Ghost's successes in pulling the pack through times of sickness and drought..and she also knows of the dark past of her family. Or most of it anyways. Hailstorm knows she's susceptible to becoming a feared tyrant, as her grandfathers were, and deep down she is terrified of becoming such. Thus, the female struggles with balancing being an assertive and effective Alpha and at the same time being understanding, caring and even merciful at times. The young she wolf still has a lot to learn, and she knows it, though she'll stubbornly act as if she's got a handle on it.
HISTORY: Hailstorm and her sister were the only surviving pups of her parents' litter. The moment that Aspen and Ebon Star realized Hailstorm's assertive tendencies they began to groom her for leadership. At first, the pup rebelled..wanting to play with the other pups and (most importantly, of course) get into mischief. She was a bully some of the time, yet other times she was the protector. Things were normal for the most part, until the day that The Tall Pines Pack moved in. New faces and names flooded in, and one in particular caught her interest. His name was Mudeye, the son of the Tall Pines Alpha, and she found him to be a handsome young wolf. They flirted for most of their days, but when they began to grow a little older, just emerging into young adulthood, they began to court. However, hormones flooded forth at the time and squabbles began to ensue. They could never truly get along. If they weren't arguing about their clash in religion, then Mudeye was protecting a wolf that (then called) FlameTip was trying to dominate. A moon before FlameTip became Hailstorm and Mudeye became MudSpider their relationship broke off for good. Hailstorm took on the Alpha rank and all feelings for MudSpider dissolved as she concentrated on her new responsibilities.

DESCRIPTION: http://kageakumu.deviantart.com/art/Mystery-Pup-for-Kerosene-48349452 Rabbitbrush was a chubby puppy, moreso than usual pups are. For this she has a low self-esteem, but after moving into Swift River pursues an interest in WaterHawk and what her rank entailed. She will follow the Beta around everywhere, asking questions about everything. Rabbitbrush has an unusual respect for all other animals, silently asking forgiveness of the creature's life essence before consuming. As an adult, then named BirchShadow is very average in height, weight, and looks though her eyes are a beautiful almond shape.
HISTORY: When she was born, Rabbitbrush was immediantly taken away from her pack for her birth was an illegitimate one. Her mother, as a Medicine Wolf, was forbidden from having a mate and pups. Rabbitbrush was taken far away, to a pair of rouge wolves who had just given birth to 2 pups of their own. It was with this family that Rabbitbrush grew up. Her adopted mother was called Dry Sky and her adopted father, Rush Paw. Her brothers were Loud Howl and Jumping Spider. The family also had a bird friend, a bluebird named Bright Song. It was kept from Rabbitbrush that Dry Sky and Rush Paw were not her real parents until one fateful day. A ravenous mountain lion had stalked the family, attacking at dusk while the puppies were getting ready to settle down for sleep. The young ones slept in a fox hole to keep them safe, their parents sleeping with their bodies blocking the entrance. Almost to the hole, the cougar leapt from ambush and immediantly knocked down Dry Sky, breaking her neck with the swift sudden slap of a paw. Loud Howl and Jumping Spider's deaths and devouring immediantly followed, giving time for Rush Paw to shove Rabbitbrush into the foxhole. No sooner than she'd gotten down there did Rush Paw's face disappear from the entrance. Outside the hole, it sounded as if the sky itself was tearing down. Then all fell silent. After a few moments, Rabbitbrush emerged to see her father laying in a large pool of blood. He was not yet dead, and Rabbitbrush sent up a frantic howl. Minutes later Bright Song appeared and Rabbitbrush explained everything in a flurry. Rush Paw's eyes opened slowly and it was then he revealed to his daughter of her adoption and who her parents were and what they looked like. He ordered Bright Song to find them, and for Rabbitbrush to keep hidden in the foxhole until they arrived.
Now an adult, and an active member of The Swift River Clan, BirchShadow is living a normal life ranked as a pack Scout. She had one young son that she adores, GreyMask. His conception came about one night during her rounds as she came across a rather charming young male. She swooned at his velvet voice, at his seemingly sincere words and promises and that night her son was conceived. The male had promised to return immediately to the packlands after he went to tell the news of his finding a new home to his small family pack...yet never returned. Though she was heartbroken and felt like quite the fool, BirchShadow successfully gave birth to her only pup and loves him with all her heart.
(Note: BirchShadow will never be fully rped as a main character. She's more of a 'background' character as GreyMask is my focus.)

CHARACTER NAME: MudSpider (pup name Mudeye)
CHARACTER RANK: Pack Member
CHARACTER AGE: 2 years

PACK AFFILIATION: The Black Mountain Pack
DESCRIPTION: Mudeye is a dominant pup, but not as dominant as his sister Landslide was. He enjoys helping others and won't let himself or any other pup get pushed around. He's a momma's boy, but not in a 'big baby' kind of way. He tends to side with his mother on issues and idolizes her. As an adult, MudSpider is the same way, though he's learned not to interfere with the Alpha's (and Beta's) actions. MudSpider is a loyal wolf to the pack, though he will never let go of the religion of the Tall Pines Pack of which he had been previously a part of. The fact that his mother had not been a successful Alpha continues to hurt his heart, but he still loves her with all of his being. She was his mother, after all. MudSpider is a handsome wolf when you speak of his body and facial shape. He has a strong muzzle and jaws and his body has little fat during the summer with clear cut muscles beneath his muddy colored pelt.

Description: WindFall is a wolf of average size all around, though her fur is somewhat thicker and fluffier than the average grey wolf. Her ears are smallish and rounded at the tip, paws normal looking except for the slightly duller than normal claws. She carries herself in a way that seems that she's trying not to be noticed..a completely non-threatening way really. Her head is usually lowered slightly, tail dangling limply, and expressive eyes rarely make contact with another's.
Personality: WindFall, as a pup, is quiet and introverted. She prefers the company of her parents and likely will have only one close friend to rough and tumble with. Even as a young pup, she'd always had an interest in the healing arts and often plays 'Healer' with her mother, whom will either pretend to have an injury or will have a small cut or abrasion in which WindFall will eagerly 'tend' to. As an adult, Winter Lights comes out of her shell a little more and will likely have a small clique of friends that she socializes mainly with. She's still meek, but tries to be assertive at times and at these times will make and hold eye contact despite the nervous fluttering in her stomach. When it comes to Healing, real healing and not the game of her puphood, she can become more confidently assertive when it comes to the well being of her patients.
History: Being only four months old, WindFall has little notable history. She is one of the daughters of The Black Mountain Pack Spiritual, Wind Feather and The Tall Pines Pack Spiritual, Falling Snow.

Description: MoonRunner is the largest of her litter. Her monotone fur is of medium length and soft to the touch and atop her slim feminine head is a thin patch of longer fur that hangs down into both eyes and ends just below said eyes. Despite having the largest body size of her siblings, MoonRunner has a very lady-like shape with long slender legs, dainty paws, a slender head and muzzle, and a sleek body built purely for speed.
Personality: As a puppy, MoonRunner enjoys getting into mischief. She'd adventurous and energetic and she rarely stays in one spot for long. She likes to see how much she can get away with and is constantly testing her parents' boundaries. As an adult, however, MoonRunner will mature into a less (purposely) troublesome wolf though she won't lack her puppish energy. She'll always seem ready and rearin' to go. When facing her packmates and family, MoonRunner is an outgoing, friendly and playful she wolf. However, if she happens to meet up with a stranger she'll become cautious and a strange wolf that oversteps the Swift River territory can be sure he'll be chased down if MoonRunner catches sight of him..and she'll attempt to either drag him to her parents or summon them.

Basics

Name: GreyMask; FrostWind ( <- adult name)

Description: As a young pup, GreyMask is nothing out of the ordinary. He's got some pup chub, is quite a fluffball, and is rowdy and rambunctious. He always seems to be on the move, 'hunting' or attacking something and having a jolly good time getting under paw. Pups grow fast, however, and now at six months old GreyMask's legs are lengthening and his paws are fast outgrowing his body which gives him an awkward pre-teen look. As an adult, FrostWind will look like your average grey wolf with no particularly outstanding 'handsome' or 'ugly' features. His eyes are a gateway into his soul, as he is very expressive with them even if he tries to hide it. When he walks, it's usually with an upbeat step and each of his movements are smooth and fluid from spending his life being almost constantly active.
Personality: At six months, though he's not as rowdy as he was in his younger months GreyMask still has seemingly boundless energy and always practices the hunt. As an adult, GreyMask then FrostWind will likely pursue a rank focused on hunting. He'll be a friendly fellow to those who have not earned a different attitude from him and thus is easy to get along with. However, when it comes to wolves who've done something to cause him to dislike them, he'll treat them with an indifferent attitude and, if irritated enough, can get snappy. Strangers that have crossed the pack border, whether or not they realize they have, will always be met with a suspicious and wary attitude and they can expect to soon meet one of the highest in charge as FrostWind won't waste time in calling for the 'top dogs' to check out the situation.
History: FrostWind was the only born to a unmated she wolf by the name of BirchShadow. As the story goes, BirchShadow had been the hush-hush illegal daughter of the pack's previous Medicine Wolf, Smooth Stone, and another male by the name of Eclipse. BirchShadow, then called Rabbitbrush, had been secretly birthed and adopted out to a pair of lone wolves but following a tragic accident that left her with no family she learned of The Swift River Clan and her real parents via the family bird friend and she returned to the pack. BirchShadow had never said a word about her bloodlines until the male that she'd learned to be her father had passed away to ensure he was protected from his illegal actions (Smooth Stone was by then gone already). As BirchShadow was just the result of the action and not the cause for it nor the one who'd done it, she was free from any penalties that may have been given to her parents, and so she lives the remainder of her life in TSRC as a normal wolf as a mere Scout. One night, however, during her rounds she came across a rather charming young male. She swooned at his voice, at his seemingly sincere words and promises and that night her son was conceived. The male had promised to return immediately to the packlands after he went to tell the news of his finding a new home to his small family pack...yet never returned. [Personality]:
Generally: She is a sweet, submissive lady with nary an ill thought in her head. She's always got a smile on her muzzle and a kind word to say. HoneyHeart's posture speaks volumes of her personality. A warm gaze, but a low carried posture indicating her submissive and meek attitude. Ears are almost always down unless she's excited and can't help it, tail always limp and head always carried even with her shoulders. Whenever she approaches a (kind) packmember you'll likely always see her tucked tail twitching in an awkward wag. When faced with strangers, assuming she knows they're not part of the pack, she'll instantly call for the Alpha/s to come handle the situation..usually before she approaches said wolf. With pups she's like an exuberant child herself. She'll play all of their games with them, her energy matching their own, and when it comes to pups it will be the only instance where you would see her act aggressively towards anyone. Any intended harm to the pups will be met with snapping jaws from HoneyHeart and she will only allow trusted packmembers near them unless her Alpha/s otherwise state.

Species: Grey Wolf
Physical Description: HoneyHeart greatly resembles her grandmother, BrightLark, in her markings and coloration minus the bangs. HoneyHeart's fur is downy soft and thick and the grey color of an impending snow storm. Accenting this grey shade is a creamy tan that envelops both triangular ears, coats her muzzle, cheeks, and around eyes and leaks down to end near the edge of her ribcage before picking up again and encasing her thick tail and both fore and hind right legs. Her expressive eyes are a rich, warm golden color. As mentioned before, her posture is almost always of submissive nature and there is nearly always a smile upon her muzzle and a welcoming gleam in her eyes. There is one unusual quality to HoneyHeart's behavior, though, and that's her tendency to hoard antlers. Her den is quite oversized, in fact, but most of the roomy enclosure is taken up by piles of intertangled antlers.

[History]:
Before the Pack: HoneyHeart was actually not born in The Swift River Clan, but rather in The Black Mountain Pack to mother Dusk Owl and father Silver Leaf. She grew up with the normal life of a pup, being the most submissive of her siblings but nonetheless just as playful and energetic. However, as a Black Mountain wolf she was expected to be more aggressive than she really was and though she was not condemned for it in the least she did have a harder time of it. HoneyHeart, known then as LarkSong..partially named for her grandmother BrightLark..always got pushed around and pushed away. By most, that is, except the pack's puppies. Because of her nature, she excelled at watching the pups while mom and dad were away on some errand. Though it wasn't as glamorous a skill as hunting or scouting, she very much enjoyed entertaining the little ones and keeping them out from under paw and away from harm. However, even her love of the pups of her birth pack couldn't sway her from her decision to transfer to TBMP's ally, The Swift River Clan. Life in Black Mountain was too troublesome for HoneyHeart, with her meek ways often falling victim to Black Mountain's more aggressive ones. Her decision came about when, one day, she'd accompanied a small group of Black Mountain wolves for a friendly get together with some Swift River wolves. Spending the day with the Clan she saw how much less aggressive they were and she wanted in. Her transfer to the Clan went well, both packs agreeing it would be best for HoneyHeart, and she now resides there happily.
Within the Pack: In The Swift River Clan, HoneyHeart thrives at watching their pups. When there are no little ones to sit, she spends her time tracking and noting the movement of the herds and reporting the information back to those higher up...doing this has the added perk of her often coming across shed antlers in the late winter and early to mid spring to add to her growing collection.

[Personality]: Blinding Light is a very friendly, if somewhat mysterious wolf. Typically he's quiet, not in a shy or meek way but much more in an observing way. He generally speaks only when he finds it necessary, though he's not against having a conversation with someone. The silvery male is very attuned to the Spirit World, and it's not uncommon to find him staring off..almost sightlessly..into the distance. Because of this, he finds it difficult to get particularly close to anyone and vice versa. TBC[/b

Species: Grey Wolf
Physical Description: Blinding Light's base fur is a winter-sky silver. Smeared across his back, starting at the base of his skull and ending at the base of his tail, is a darker cloudy grey that also encases all four legs. Enveloping his small triangular ears is a black as dark as night that also encircles both pale blue eyes and tips off his tail. White adorns his muzzle, cheeks, all the way down his neck to his chest and belly and splat in the middle of his chest is an uneven splotch of black. Black fur is also smeared across his shoulders, tapering to a point at both ends. Blinding Light's winter fur is thick and dense and sheds in knotted clumps come spring, giving way to his sleek and shiny summer pelt. The male carries himself in a relaxed, but confidant way. Each step is taken purposefully, it seems, and when those deep eyes gaze into another's it's as if he's seeing down into their soul.
