Message Insertion

This is KenseiKitsune. Due to me not communicating how I was starting the RP properly Kotie started this thread. This thread will stay up and anyone who wishes to join us as part of Grigory's crew (or perhaps one of the colonists he is escorting) is welcome to do so. For everyone else, please head to the thread titled "After the Fall." This thread and the After the Fall thread will merge later on as Kotie and Grigory meet up with the other characters. I just wanted to warn everybody. heh

Sorry about that Kotie, now back to your post. I hope you do not think this rude of me.
-------------------------
Kotie here, Its your section, do what you please, and to warn other rpers for if they want to join in here, its all good to me. Lets make it alive!! Toast!

Kotie's original post

It’s the year 2380 on Earth in the Solar system, as vice admiral Kotie gets a message from Starfleet HQ. to go to Deep Space Nine with a special cargo and to install it on the Defiant for testing it. This special cargo are four Borg Transwarp coils with Federation technology, so that the Federation could safely generate conduits. If this test becomes a success, it shall be installed to all Federation ships!

The vice admiral is very pleased with this message and he knows also the persons who are willingly to help out with this test. After a couple of visits and talking’s to the persons he needs, they all agree on helping him.

At 14:00 hours on the same day, the U.S.S. Enterprise E (sovereign Class) is ready and leaves Earth orbit to fly to Deep Space Nine, where the Defiant is parked.

A couple of days later the Enterprise arrives at Deep Space Nine and docks at a docking pylon. There the vice admiral explains to commander Kira Nerys, the testing of Borg Transwarp coils with the Defiant and that he has a few members who know the Defiant very good and helping with installing it.

A couple of weeks passed with making the installations and adjustments to the warp core’s systems and Transwarp coils of the Defiant to let it work properly. Two days later is the Defiant ready for its first ever flight of making a Transwarp conduit to travel from Deep Space Nine to Earth and then later for going back to Deep Space Nine. Everyone takes in there positions and the vice admiral the Captains chair, he orders a nice and slowly departure from the docking station and informs both the Enterprise as Deep Space Nine that they are ready for the test flight and that all systems are operational.
The Enterprise Undocks from the pylon also and flies alongside the Defiant, till they activate the coils and go into the Transwarp conduit. Then the enterprise brakes off and head back to Deep Space Nine.

Everything is normal for the ffirst 5 minutes and then there comes a bit of flux in the warp core and in the Transwarp coils to keep the conduit stable. The engineering team tries to stabilise it, with little success and it gets only worse. The Transwarp conduit is on the edge of collapsing and the admiral orders to make an exiting conduit to get out of Transwarp and to analyze what the problem is.

(editted below part)
Back in normal space, the Defiant drops immediately out of warp, the warp core shuts down and it will not come back online, so comes also the long range sensors offline, but the short range are still working. Also what fails to work is the cloaking device, so that the Defiant is unable to cloak, but what is the need of a cloak if you can’t fire with having it on? Commander Vorge uses the ships short range scanner to see where they are and how far they are from Deep Space Nine or Earth. Commander Vorge is a half Cheetah Klingon, with excellent combat skills and what he sees on the short range scanners he tells the admiral. The admiral tells to put it on the view screen, the bridge crew sees, that in a short distance away a large colony vessel is being attacked by several smaller ships, and the colony vessel is unable to defend itself from there attackers, so admiral Kotie decides to aid the defenceless colony vessel.

“Mr. Pargiz, lay in an intercept course, full speed ahead” admiral Kotie said. Mr Pargiz is a Tiger Human with very great skills in flying any space ship, and just needs 10 minutes max at the controls of it and he flies it like pro with allot of flight hours in it. His fur is White with black stripes on his back. Turning to commander Vorge he says “Commander Vorge, shields up and target there weapon systems, and phaser only. I don’t want to destroy them, only scaring off!” “Understood Admiral” Vorge replied.

OOS: Kotie, check your PM when you are able.

Also, I've designed another point of view character to Role Play with you until you meet up with the rest of the group. After that, the character will probably serve as our chief means of transportation, though I'll probably move him to NPC status (open game for anyone to use him).

After thinking about it a bit, I think... I'll have you keep this thread up as well. We can RP the entire scenario seperately, until we come in line with the rest of the group. Also, it will give people who want to play more than one character a convenient excuse to jump right into the action. Smile

Look for info on the character Grigory to be put up soon.

Edit: Alright, on to my first post here.

---

IS:

"CAPTAIN! The Ion Cannons are down!"

Smoke poured through the bridge, as a warning klaxon blared in the background. The only light, a red flash that came on and off again.

"Dammit." The grizzled lynx spat, "Turn about, start firing the repulsers and mining lasers. They won't do much, but maybe we can hold them off a bit."

Metal groaned as an explosion rocked the ship.

"Direct hit on colony bay two, sir! That section is open to the vaccuum!"

Grigory closed his eyes for a moment. "Seal that section. They're already dead, nothing we can do for them, we have to ensure the safety of our other passengers."

"Aye, Captain Chenkov."

On the main screen small ships darted in and out, blasting rays of green into the much larger ship. The ship was badly damaged, but more than a few pirates lay adrift in the void of space. Before the captain could issue his next order a massive flash filled the sky and space seemed to distort for just a moment.

"Sir, reading a new ship on sensors. It doesn't make any sense, all we can read is an energy signature."

Grigory turned quickly to his crewman. "What does that mean?" He bellowed.

"I'm... not sure. It makes no bleeding sense!"

Grigory could only watch as the new ship began heading his way, to what end, he could not guess.

---

OOS: Hope thats something enough to work with, Kotie. I know its a little sloppy. Smile

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyTue Oct 23, 2007 2:25 pm

((No problem, it will do fine for me.))

As the Defiant flies towards the colony vessel, Lieutenant Krembo. A human lion, just like Admiral Kotie, he looks like him but he has black hair and brown eyes. He is stationed at the communication station and gets the distress call from the ship. Just after the direct hit he reads that there are people in it and it has a hole in it. “Admiral” he says, “they got people in those two bays and one got a direct hit and is open to space.” An angry look appears on the Admirals face and says back, “Beam any survivors of that bay to sickbay and warn sickbay for casualties. Lets save what people we can on that ship!”

After that is said, Krembo does it, “Sir, I got only 5 of them, the rest didn’t made it.” “Thanks Krembo, notify captain of that damaged ship, that we come to aid him from the attackers.” Kotie replied back and look through the view screen to see a cripple ship what has no chance at all to survive this on its own and felt sorry for the loss of the lives from the people who where in that section.

Krembo contacted the damaged ship with a massage that saying “This is the U.S.S Defiant, we are here to help you, we got 5 survivors from that compartment and are in sickbay for treatment! Defiant out.

The Defiant now very close to the badly damaged colony ship it fires the phaser. The red beam from top of the ship crosses barely over the colony ship towards a nearby ship that lines up to fire at the next bay of the colony vessel, having a direct hit and putting there weapon system out of commission for a while the defiant pulls up and let the large vessel pass under need of them, the crew could read there registry number (NCC-75633) what is standing on the inside of the warp nacelles.

“Hmm… that went too easy, for taking out there weapons, would they have no shields?” Kotie said to no one in particular, and thought about it. As you would expect that they would have shields before you attack an vessel, unless this one had all taken damage. Just odd… “Mr. Vorge, target the next attacking vessel’s weapon system and fire when ready” Commander Vorge nodded and looked for a next vessel that was attacking.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyWed Oct 24, 2007 4:55 am

"Sir! That strange ship sent a message, its garbled, but we can still make out the main message. Audio only."

"Play it"

Over the fizzing and popping, the following message could be heard. “This is *fizzle* Defiant, we *fizzle* help you, we got 5 survivors from *fizzle* and are in sickbay *fizzle* out."

"You can't clean it up more?" Grigory scowled, and moved the pipe in his mouth from one side to the other.

"That is cleaned up, sir. Whatever they're broadcasting with doesn't seem entirely compatable with out receptors."

"Well, I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth."

On the viewscreen, the new ship had closed the distance between them, flying in close to the wounded ship it let loose with a red beam that sent one of the raiding ship spiraling but intact.

"What was that?" Grigory's eyes were wide.

"Unknown sir! its like the shields weren't even in place."

Grigory had seen shields blown out in one shot before, overwhelmed through an Ion blast or bypassed by the heat of a plasma weapon, but this... this was something entirely different. This time, the shields simply didn't do anything about the beam.

"Retreat as far behind that new ship as possible, we don't want to be caught in a crossfire."

The Dogoda slowly turned and began limping away from the ensuing battle.

"Open a hail, audio only." His comms officer nodded. "I don't know where you're from or even if this message can be heard. But wherever you come from, you have our deepest thanks. Good luck, Defiant, I hope we both make it through this day alive."

---

OOS: Alright Kotie, these pirates... they're armed solely with simple lasers, though there are a lot of them. And, I know that lasers do nothing to Federation shields, so, have fun with it, hehehe.

Also, the message the Dogoda sends is on a radio frequency, just so you know. heh, it will probably have a lot of feedback and fizzling.

Edit: Also, check the General information thread for the sorts of rediculous readings your long range sensors will pick up once they're back on line. I think you crew might just be stunned by the sheer size of the population involved in one place. heh

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyFri Oct 26, 2007 11:56 am

As soon as Commander Vorge saw an other ship on attack course to the limping vessel he fired the phaser beam, again a direct hit to the ship to take out its weapon system. Even that ship it shield up! So what now the case is that the phaser beam is so powerful to take out there shields and to damage the weapons.

“Admiral,” Commander Vorge said, “I have readings from the attacking ships and they have shields. Only our phaser is so strong that it has not much effect on them. And there weapons are standard lasers, which has no effect at all to our shielding! Also I see that the damaged ship is moving away from us.” “Thank you commander, and that makes it also clear why we take them out so fast. I wonder if they would know it also, that there weapons would have no effect to our shielding.” Kotie replied back to him.

Just as Kotie asked his question, he got his answer. As 10 attacking ships turned to the new vessel that had disabled 2 ships of them, from firing there weapons and fired there laser at it. The shield of the Defiant lid up blue on the part where the green beam hit. This laser beam had no effect to the ships shielding. But The admiral didn’t want to let them know for keeping the ship a sitting duck and let them fire continuously at his ship, while they couldn’t damage it.

Kotie said to the helm “Mr. Pargiz, evasive pattern Alpha, (zig zaging to the left and right) lets see if we can take them all away from the damaged ship.” “Mr. Vorge, keep on disabling there weapons with the phaser till they leave this place.”

Lieutenant Krembo, receives an audio message from the damaged ship, “Admiral” he says, “I got an audio message from the damaged ship.” “Okay Krembo, lets hear it!” the admiral replied back.

Lieutenant Krembo put it on the speaker and this was heard: "I don't know where you're from *crackle* if this *crackle* be heard. *crackle* You have our deepest thanks. Good *crackle*, I hope we both make it *crackle*."

“That’s all we got?” Kotie replied after hearing the message “Yes sir!” Krembo answered “I think there comm system is damaged as I can’t make it any better.” “okay then, open a channel audio only for now.” The admiral said. Krembo opened a channel and replied, “Channel open sir.” “This is Admiral Kotie from the Federation starship Defiant. No problem at all to help you out sir!”

((I can’t take all the pirate ships to my own account, would be unfair to have that kind of fight, so maybe you can take up a few Kensei? Or maybe some other rpers who want to join in?)

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyFri Oct 26, 2007 5:51 pm

OOS: Well, my ship only has Repulsers (think reverse tractor beams, for moving space debris out of the way) and mining lasers, for cutting down asteroids. The main weapons, the Ion cannons were taken out just before you arrived. :p

Still I could probably get a couple, should they move in range.

---

IS:

As the Defiant pulled out and distracted the pirates, the Dogoda continued to limp away. Four ships broke from chasing the Defiant and spiraled back around to attack the escaping colony ship.

"Ready the mining lasers. Compared to the numbers we were facing before, this shouldn't be too much of a problem." Grigoysaid as he stood from his chair.

There was a whirring from behind him, as the security doors opened to reveal a green furred bat with a long scar covering on of his eyes. "Captain, the colonists are growing restless. If we don't get out of this battle quickly, they are threatening to withold payment."

"Dammit, Vaal, there isn't much I can do."

A pirate buzzed the ship, and the bridge rocked. Vaal hurried to his seat beside the captain, and pulled up his holo-display.

"Its about time you got back up here, anyway. The first-mate should remain on the bridge with his captain." Grigory sat back down. "Besides, you're the best shot out of the crew."

"Spare me Grigory, you know as well as I do, that if one of us hadn't gone done there, we'd have a riot on our hands."

Grigory let out a deep laugh. "You're probably right." The bridge rocked once again, nearly throwing Grigory out of his chair. "Ugh, do something about those pirates, we can talk later!"

Vaal nodded, and took manual control of the weapons that were left. Four pirates flanked the Dogoda, each on firing rapid blasts of green energy that caused small gauts of flame to rocket from the colony ship. As they made an attack run, a beam of crimson shot from the side of the Dogoda and hit one of the ships. The ship flashed white and continued to fly, its energy shields absorbing the imapct.

As the pirates made another pass, the Comms officer spoke up. "Sir, the new ship called Defiant sent us a reply to you last message, but only the first few words came out. I think the pirates are jamming us."

Grigory frowned. "A jamming signal... damn... that means..."

"That means we need to get out here quick. Theres no way we can handle a capitol class ship." Vaal finished his captain's thoughts.

One of the pirates' ships lit up in a brilliant flare as another beam lanced it's side.

"But, how do we tell Defiant? That ship could be an hour away or five minutes away."

---

OOS: Alright, Kotie. I've got a few left to fight, but its no big deal how many you take out, they're pirates after all. :p

Anyway, it would be best to finish them off soon, since this capitol class ship thats incoming (The pirates home-base, likely) is probably something we should avoid fighting. At least until the colonists reach their destination at one of the stations further out, and Grigory gets a chance to upgrade his weaponry (which was part of the payment he was to receive).

Theres still plenty of time before the ship would arrive, so we won't have to fight it, if we move within half an hour.

Ah, I'll put up character info on Vaal in NPC section soon. He's the vice-captain, commander, first-mate or what have you.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptySat Oct 27, 2007 11:18 am

((Alrighty then, always nice to have a fellow ship for stopping them, even there weapons have little range and or power. Any direct hit taken on them is good. And try to make evasive movements for trying to avoid getting hit!

Further more, If you know how powerful that “tough little ship” is, when using her phaser cannons. It shall take a bit of time to take it out, depending how tough that mothership is. But risking a war against them. I rather avoid that! So also for fighting against a very huge capital ship, that is hard to take out!))

Meanwhile the Defiant is dodging all the laser fire coming from the pirate ships and they have all disabled two ships of them. Commander Vorge reads that four of them broke off there charge on the defiant and headed back towards the colony ship. “Admiral, four of them are heading back to the colony ship!” he notified Admiral Kotie.

“Damn…” He said and let out an angry snarl for not having all of them going after his ship. “Mister Vorge, prepare the pulse phaser cannons, and transfer it to the helm when you are done. Let end this battle!” “Yes sir!” Vorge replied and worked on his controls for loading up the pulse phaser cannons and to give the commands of it to the helms officer, mister Pargiz.

The damaged pirate ships who have no weapons moved away from the battle as they could do nothing, unless they would sacrifice themselves on letting his ship crashing into that of the colony ship or that of the defiant.

“Chief “ Kotie said loudly to the chief engineer Hilco O’ Mane, “How long till we got the long range sensors back and warp drive back online?” A Yellow coated Lion with a brown mane, replied “The sensors I have online within a few minutes. Getting the warp core back online, I can’t tell. My engineers down there are doing there best, to solve it, for why it got offline. Only that two of the four transwarp coils are overloaded. And we have no cloak, as that got damaged during the test flight.” As he is working on the engineering panel, on left of the captains chair.

The admiral sighed, “Okay, tell them to fix that cloaking device. We shall later then investigate why we can’t get the core back on. Thanks Chief O’ Mane.” The admiral replied and wondered why the core wouldn’t come online. Was it something in the space where they are in, that prevents them going to warp? After this colony ship is safe, they shall investigate it.

Lieutenant Krembo heard nothing back from the colony ship and told that to the admiral “Admiral, I have no reply back from them, I think that those ships are jamming the signals of us and that of the colony ship.” Kotie replied back quickly, “you got a source, from where it comes from the jamming?” “No sir!” Krembo answered, “As long as the long range scanners are offline I can’t find it. But its not coming from one of those smaller ships.”

“Damn…” Admiral Kotie muttered, “This is a strange universe, if you ask me.”

“Admiral,” Commander Vorge said when he was done with the putting the pulse phaser cannons online and to transfer it to the helm. “The pulse phaser cannons are online and transferred to the helm. And the weapons of the colony ship has very little effect to the shields of the attacking ships.” “Thanks commander,” Kotie said to him and turned to the helm, “Mister Pargiz, turn around and fire the cannons at the remaining ships.

”Yes admiral” mister Pargiz answered and turned the Defiant around for facing there attackers and that of the colony ship. Then the Defiant fired there pulse cannons and there came four short strokes of yellow on either side of the warp nacelle of the Defiant. The first four hitting the shields of the attacking ship and the second four hitting the ship and blowing it up. So it went also for the next ship the defiant faced!

A New Universe - Part 1 GDefPhaser3-1
Defiant lets fly with her phaser pulse cannon. Her heavy weaponry makes her one of the most powerful ships in use in the alpha quadrant.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyTue Oct 30, 2007 7:38 pm

OOS: Hehe, I like the illustration for the post. Smile

I don't think it would be good to face the capitol ship. The armaments would be hard to deal with without knowing what they might be before-hand. Also, I'm trying to get us moved on to where our characters can meet in person and questions are answered. Theres plenty more pirate-hunting to be had, so don't worry, you'll have a shot at that capitol ship. Smile

Also, I know my posts haven't been too clear, my writing is a bit muddled lately (its been a long time since I've RPed). bear with me, I'm just trying to keep up, heh.

Edit: Alright, these are pirates after all, they are interested in easy victories, so if they can't get one, they'll retreat. At least until they're prepared for a real fight (the incoming ship). So, if you want to cut the battle short, its always feasible to just have them run.

---

IS:

Assualted by a crimson beam, another marauding ship lit up in a bright flare, as it disintegrated over the colony ship. Its companions swooped wide around and set off quickly away from the battle.

Grigory let out a breath, and stood up. "Helm, set a course back on route to colony station 603. Do not engage the engines, until my mark."

"Aye sir." A dark furred Raccoon answered.

"Focus the main screen on the Defiant"

The viewscreen flickered and flashed. When it came around, it showed the Deifant deftly weaving between the shots of its persuers.

"Who are you?" Grigory whispered to himself.

A red light flashed on the console before him. Grigory grit his teeth, he knew what was coming next. Sitting back down, he depressed a button on the arm of his chair.

A scratchy voice stated indignantly "Captain, this is Prime Colonist Hadred. Why in Deus' name are we still sitting here? We should be under way at full speed to our drop off point."

"I understand that Hadred, but this new comer, the Defiant, just saved our lives. I don't know about you, but I'm a man who pays his debts."

The voice fell silent for a moment, before rising again. "Let me remind you Grigory that you promised us a smooth trip. Nothing so far has been smooth and this, this... garbage scow you call a ship has been malfunctioning the entire way. Not to mention the pirates. I thought you said we could avoid any pirates easily."

"No, Hadred, I said I could avoid a pirate encounter if they decided to parlay. My name is not unknown amongst pirates... Regardless, this convesation has gone passed its usefulness. Goodbye Hadred."

Grigory pressed the button in again and with a fizz of static, the voice disappeared.

Vaal swiveled his head. "You probably shouldn't have donw that. It took a while for me to calm them down the first time. They'll probably hold back our pay."

Girgory shook his head. "I wouldn't be suprised. I'm regretting even taking this job." The red light started flashing again. "Vaal, would you mind talking to them this time... in person?"

Vaal frowned. "I'm certain they'd rather talk to you captain."

"Probably so... but, as it is, we're still in imminant danger, and I can't be fussed to leave the bridge over contract negotions."

"Captain, you're still very much a pirate. Fine, I'll go, but I better get hazard pay for this."

Grigory smirked. "And you're still a Department officer, but I never held that against you. And thank you."

Vaal rose and walked to the door at the back of the bridge. Grigory turned once more to watch the Defiant in action.

---

OOS: Ok, sorry about that, I don't know about you, but until the Dogoda gets better weapons, or maneuverability, space battles just aren't fun with this crippled and rather slow ship. heh

I'll probably work on the ship description here shortly.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyWed Oct 31, 2007 3:11 pm

((Tell me about it, slow ships are easy targets, for all with not much firepower and defences . Let stand alone, flying a ship, what would be very powerful, but is made cripple in a battle. Plus losing propulsion, like Warp drive!

And Starfleet doesn’t have build ships to start wars, only to end them!

By the looks of it, I rather pass that shot on the pirate mother ship. I want to keep the Defiant in once piece for a long time and not losing it by taking a shot at that ship, as it would be heavily defended by its weaponry!

Ok for that of the pirates, for fleeing the scene. As they are no match to any Federation starship. And I shall make a post about its organisation, for any crew members. Even it doesn’t exists here, but the ship is there))

After that the Defiant destroyed the second ship and headed towards the third one and fired the pulse cannon at it. Only having that ship taking a hard turn to the right as the Defiant fired, avoiding getting hit and took left. The remaining ships aborted there attacks and followed his example, as the Defiant was too powerful for them to take out. Without the help of the Defiant, the colony ship would be now destroyed.

The helm officer, Pargiz sees that the ships are retreating and asks “Admiral, must I follow them?” Kotie shakes his head and replies calmly “No Pargiz, let them go. Take us alongside of the colony ship. Stand down red alert, and put the weapons on standby. Keep the shields raised for now, for if they come back.”
“Aye Sir” Pargiz replied and turned the ship to the direction of the colony ship. Commander Vorge turned off the red alert state of the ship and placed the weapons on standby mode.

Kotie Stood up from his chair and decided to go to sickbay to visit the persons there who he rescued earlier. “Commander Vorge, you got bridge. I am going to see how our friends in sickbay are doing.” Kotie said and walked to the door and it slide open, there he walked to the turbolift to go to sickbay.

Commander Vorge took the captains chair and sat down, as he took the lead now.

“Commander, I have the long range sensors online, but the cloak… that will take a couple of hours to repair.” The chief engineer said, “Good, thanks chief, keep me posted of the repairs.” Vorge replied to him.

As the long range scanners came on and data of the space where they are in, lieutenant Krembo saw that a very large ship is coming towards there position. Also is seen that the smaller ships are heading towards the large one. The readings for what the very large ship has, for weaponry and defences is has is unknown. Only that it is very powerful as it counts lots of weapons.

“Commander, I have spotted a very large ship on the long range sensors and its heading to our position.” Krembo said “And at its current speed it would be here within fifteen minutes.” An ensign added “Sir, that ship is heavily armed and I wouldn’t recommend an fight with it.” As he looked at the info he got from the ship on tactical. “Thank you,” Vorge replied “Keep me posted at that ship Lieutenant Krembo” “Yes sir” Krembo answered with a nod. For what he more saw on long range scanners he would tell, after they are safe, now it was not the time for it.

With that, Commander Vorge tapped his combadge and contacted the admiral and told him that there is large ship is heading to there position and that it will be there within fifteen minutes. Kotie thanks him and enters sickbay to see how the five persons are, and to answers questions they might have.

((Details of the Pirate mothership I don’t have, let stand alone there weapons. So my scanners can’t say it. Also for the 5 persons I beamed aboard my ship I can’t say much. But admiral Kotie just arrived there.))

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyWed Oct 31, 2007 3:37 pm

OOS: hm, they would likely be from the colonists in that section. If any of my personel were picked up, they'd be technicians, or guards stationed to keep the peace amongst the edgy colonists. The colonists themselves are mostly people from the very lowest levels of New Eden who scrapped together enough money to buy passage out of the Gemini system (albeit a slow passage). Use them how you please, and with my blessing.

(For my crew they wear silver colored uniforms with a sectioned off blue chest. The uniform is actually designed to take the brunt of heat and energy damage. It would only take a couple of hits by an energy beam to get through, though... they also carry a laser pistol sidearm, and a laser rifle in the case of guards.)

(The colonists, of course would have no set way of dressing. Most, would not be wearing the cleanest or most fashionable clothing though, maybe even just rags.)

Either way, they'd be pretty freaked out. Transporter tech exists here, but most ships don't make use of it. Plus the interior of your sick bay would most resemble that of a Technocrat ship. Luckily, Technocrats are generally well regarded by citizens of New Eden... even if they are not really a "good guy" faction.

Sorry about my sporadic posting though. I know, one day post overload, the next few, nothing. heh. Been kinda busy. Hopefully will be up and posting rapid fire again in a few days.

Still, this might be an excellent place for another player to, ah, pop in.

*whistles innocently*

:p

Edit: And aye, its probably best for the Defiant to not pick up exact ship weapons, these are after all, pretty alien configuration and weapons, heh.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyMon Nov 05, 2007 4:45 pm

The Occam's Razor floated lazily in the distance. Phaesis had chosen this particular patch of asteroids and space debris for the cover it provided from pirates and passing traffic without overtaxing his cloaking system. He had been waiting for the colony ship, but he hadn't expected it to come under attack.

he pirates would have proven to be a bit of an inconvenience, but the appearance of the second ship practically from the void of space was an excellent stroke of luck for Phaesis. He had come here for Prime Colonist Hadred, but wasn't ready for a space fight with pirates. Luckily, the new ship had taken care of that problem for him.

He kept monitoring the communication between the freighter and the new ship, this Defiant. Its weapons were unlike anything he had seen before, the telemetry he had been able to gather was sparse and would take longer to analyze.

A flicker of light indicated that a jamming signal had been detected. Sighing inwardly, Phaesis detached his ship from its low tech mooring and engaged his cloaking device and engines. He had waited long enough, and couldn't afford to let pirates come between him and his query. Carefully, he boosted the power to his engines and gained on the crippled colony vessel and its makeshift escort.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyThu Nov 08, 2007 7:25 pm

OOS: I decided to make a new post, rather than edit my earlier post.

---
IS:

The battle over, Grigory sat forward in his chair.

"Thank Deus. Alright, we might have much time left, but bring the ship about, we need to greet our new friends on the Defiant."

The Dogoda slowed, and turned, bringing it about to within the Defiant.

"Sir, the jamming signal is still going strong, we won't be able to contact them."

"I'm aware. Bring the docking bay parrallel to the Defiant, and open the bay doors. Hopefully, they'll take the hint and pull in." To himself, Grigory muttered, "I want to shake that captan's hand."

A light flashed on the arm of his chair and Grigory sighed. Pushing the button, a scratchy green hologram filtered into view in front of the captain's chair.

"Vaal, what is it now?"

"Captain, Hadred has become increasingly irrational, I've had to sedate him."

"What?"

"I'm unsure, but something isn't quite right, but none of the other colonists know anything about it."

"Well, it can't be helped, come back up to the bridge, we are going to try to see if we can't convince our new friends to dock."

"Understood, Grigory. Should we get ready for a formal greeting?"

"Formal greeting? hmm... well, I suppose it couldn't hurt. Tell security on the way up to be ready for a gathering in the docking bay, just in case."

"Aye." The image flickered out, and Grigroy stood up and walked to the back of the bridge.

"I'll be in my quarters, inform me if the Defiant makes any move."

---

OOS:

Okay, sorry about the wait. I wonder what Hadred could be hiding? I'm sure Phaesis may have some information on that, heh.

The docking bay doors are now wide open and the lights within flashing. When you are done in the sickbay, you can dock in my ship, even if only momentarily. Also, this could be a convenient way for a cloaked ship to enter the ship. The docking bays are protected from open space by magnetic shields, but they do not stop objects and are in disrepair at the moment and thus cannot detect entry.

Lastly, Kotie, did you want me to roleplay one of the people in your sickbay, or give more specific info for them?

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyThu Nov 08, 2007 11:52 pm

He let his thoughts drift out towards his prey. Hadred was scared when he last saw him on Deus, he could only imagine the man's mindset now. Ever so gently, Phaesis searched for Hadred. "I'm coming." He whispered before turning his attention back to the helm.

Phaesis steered towards the far side of the freighter, still trying to make his plans.

"Lesla, determine everything you can about the ship Hadred is on. Also see what you can figure out about the Defiant. "Pheasis sighed inwardly. That wasn't a good task for the AI, but he didn't have time ot look over the telemetry himself.

Phaesis checked his vectors and set some parameters for the ships course. He needed to get as close to the freighter as possible without risking running into it.

"The transport ship is the Dogoda, owned by a Captain Grigory Chenkov." The computer started to inform Phaesis.

"Quit." Phaesis muttered, looking at the Dogoda. It had started to make some strange maneuvers, and opening a docking bay door. Phaesis quickly checked his sensors and computer consols, and seeing no evidence of being detected, he decided to make a rash decision.

"Set a course for the docking bay." Phaesis ordered while jumping out of his seat and charging to the back of the cockpit. There he opened a small arms locker and grabbed his helmet and dual action assault rifle. His helmet locked down onto the rest of his suit with a satisfying hiss. Soon he was back in the command chair of the Occam's Razor.

"Manual control." Phaesis said while grabbing the controls. He switched his auxillary power system over to the cloak device before gunning the engines. He closed on the Dogoda quickly, pulling between it and the Defiant. He reached over his shoulder and put on clicked on the restraint harness.

"Get me an image of the lay out of the docking bay." Phaesis barked into his helmet's microphone. Within a second, a hologram image appeared before his navigation screen. "Locate the safest place to put down, out of the way of anything else that may dock." Several portions of the image flickered from red to green. One portion seemed a bit more likely to Phaesis. "Upper starboard section."

As he approached the docking bay doors, Phaesis cut the main power to his engines, leaving only navigational and maneuvering thrusters. H. He nestled the Razor down as gentle as he could, relying on his modified landing gear to try to keep things quiet. From what he had seen, the bay was still empty, but it wouldn't remain that way long.

"Condition Orange, power only to cloak and defense grid." Phaesis said as he slipped out of hatch that shut behind him. Bringing his gun up, he moved through the docking bay towards what he hoped would be an access hatch.

OOC: please do that, for taking a char or two, who are in the (small) sickbay. And i know.... everything is small onboard the Defiant, as its a warship. So what you would see normally onboard of a Galaxy class or Sovereign.. its small and compact on the Defiant.

RP post to be posted in a new post after a post from you in sickbay by a person. or in edit of your post.

For today 9-11-07 too little time to make i post i think. Soon to work, now 5:30 am home around 5:00 pm i hope, then got a bit of time, before going to give a CCW (Computer Club Weesp) training.

A side note, does your ship has not a docking port? so that it still is in open space and not inside of an other ship?

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyFri Nov 09, 2007 2:27 am

OOS:

Most ships in this setting of the size that the Dogoda is rely on internal docking bays, any ships of significant size that need to come aboard usually use landing craft (basically of shuttle craft size). Docking uplinks are really only in common usage at Star Ports in the Gemini system.

The docking bay should be large enough to house the Defiant, but I can understand your concerns about not wanting to bring your whole ship on board... The Defiant doesn't have shuttle craft, does it? Its been a long time since I've watched Deep Space Nine.

Or... hey, transporters! That could work. My shields are down anyway, at this point. You can always move your ship in close. Grigory would take that as a sign you were going to dock and bring a welcoming party down to the docking bay.

hrm... being that transmissions are jammed, I'm not sure how to communicate in game for the time being.

Ah, anyhow, I probably won't be able to get to my next post for a while myself, as I'll be getting to bed soon. Hopefully, I'll get to it soon. I already have some basic characters in mind for sickbay, I'll probably toss them up in the NPC section soon.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyFri Nov 09, 2007 1:25 pm

OOC: I think that your whole docking bay is filled up with having the Defiant inside, as its 170,68 (metric) meters long and a width of 134.11 meters.
And so far i know.. only starbases can house huge starships, that of starships / spaceships, can house a Defiant, is not known to me...

The Defiant has one small shuttlecraft, and i can use that one, but it can't carry allot of people, 2 or 3 at max i think. So i won't take that option. (And The Defiant can't house or store more ships, so beaming persons over is only option left)

And well to let the defiant dock on a starship..., its not a good idea, as its docking port is in its nose and facing forward. While Other starships has a few docking ports on the sides, not the Defiant. So that idea passes.

Using the Transported shall be the best idea and logic option. Only that of your crew will get a scare of it, for seeing that a few starfleet officers appearing on your ship.

communication, can be done by signaling, using the port and starboard lights, if there is a camera to watch ships that are making docking maneuvers?

OOS:

Kotie, I think you're underestimating the size of a colony ship. Even a mid size ship like mine would be a behemoth in the Star Trek universe. Its practically a portable Space Station... :p

Dangit, now I really need to throw my ship stats up.

But, anyway...Beaming crew over would be about the same (for the number you bring) as taking a shuttlecraft, wouldn't it? hm, well, if beaming is necesary, then that should be it.

For some reason, despite the stats you give, I seem to recall the Defiant being a lot smaller... I know you're right about the size, but I was initially thinking the ship was much smaller, heh.

But, aye, there are sensors to determine if another ship is to dock.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyFri Nov 09, 2007 4:20 pm

Phaesis kept to himself in the hallways of the colony ship. A vessel as large as this one, people didn't question the presence of another individual. Especially one that just faded from their memory as soon as they saw him.

He had never been in a ship like this before, but its size and number of people were things he was familiar with. The trick was to be act like you belonged, he was just another solider from the settlement group who had been ready in case the ship was borded. Well, at least that was the impression he left in people's minds as he walked by.

It also helped that he never paused along the corridor, but he constantly followed the impression of Hadred's mind. It was a fault impression though, like the man was asleep.

He came up to a door leading to the passenger quarters. He opened the door and immediately headed to another door to his right. This door opened with a light burst of air. Inside was a member of the crew, tending to a medical device beside the unconscious form of his target.

"I'll take it from here." Phaesis waved the racoon crew member out of the room. When the door shut behind him, Phaesis locked it to ensure he wouldn't be interrupted. He crossed the room and deactivated the sedative and set the device to revive Hadred. He then removed a small device from his belt and set it on the table. A single green light blinked, indicating that all communications to the room were being blocked.

"What do they think they are doing to me?" A gasping, raspy voice demanded from the bed. Phaesis turned to Hadred, whose rage froze when he noticed Phaesis standing there.

Phaesis smiled while he removed his helmet. "Greetings. Now to business. Who has the gravity generators you promised me, and where is the girl you kidnapped?"

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptySat Nov 10, 2007 12:29 pm

((I think that shall be it, for not knowing your ships length, beam, height. And if it was a big as a spacestation… it should be well defended, but that is my opinion (emote wink). That for the Defiants size… there are problems with it, some say its much shorter then 170 meters. Also its seen in various episodes that its size changes, then keeping it to a fixed one!))

The Defiant approaches the starboard side (right side) of the colony vessel as lieutenant Krembo is monitoring the sensors and the communications. Only there was static noise on it, to indicate that it is being jammed. He tries to find an other frequency, only with no success as all of them are jammed. On the sensors readings he picks up that a docking bay opens from the large ship and informs the commander over it. “Commander, I detect that the colony vessel is opening a docking bay, I think that they want us to dock inside.”

Commander Vorge takes a note of it and replied “Put it on screen.” Krembo pushed on a button and the main screen changed from watching the approach to the starboard side of the vessel, to the docking bay that opens.
The commander thinks for a moment, as he has never encountered this, and if it would be wise to bring the ship inside a strange vessel. Also they can’t communicate with the other vessel as the communication is being jammed, so would commander Vorge take the ship in side the other vessel?

Commander Vorge says to the helm; “Mr. Pargiz, take us under the ships docking bay.” Then he turns to the lieutenant saying “Krembo, what’s the distance of the incoming ship?” “The distance is 10.000 kilometres and closing in. Arrival time is within 11 minutes, sir.” Lieutenant Krembo answers.

The Defiant starts to decent and when its under the line of the ship it turns to the left to fly under the ships docking bay. The main screen is set to normal so that the bridge crew can see what the ship is doing.

Commander Vorge, contacts vice admiral Kotie, by combadge, to tell him that the ship is going to dock inside of the vessel and that he is required on the bridge.

((note: The Defiant is not yet entering the docking bay, its now flying under the bay. And the ships scanners it can't detect the cloaked ship that is all docked))

EDIT
When the Vice Admiral entered the sickbay to see how the rescued persons are, he sees an cyborg wolf laying on a biobed behind a force field. On the next bed he sees a Fox, on another bed a Raccoon. Further he sees also a young cat. And he sees also that a two doctors are working around a table.
The doctors wear all black uniforms but the top of the shoulders, down to there necks are blue. To indicate that they are medical officers.

The doctor who is by one of the patients looks up as he hears the door opening and sees the admiral coming in. Walks the red fox, who is know as doctor Bashir, to the admiral and explains to him the situation. “Admiral, “ Bashir starts, and points to the patients when he talks about the person he has in the sickbay. “I have a Borg like wolf behind the force field, just in case he awakes and makes havoc in my sickbay. Further I have an Female fox, also a male Raccoon and a young cat girl. All are unconsciousness. And at the Operation table I have an injured male Weasel. He lost his right hand and has bad burns on his right leg. Properly from that explosion. But he will survive that.”

Admiral Kotie takes all notes of it and nod. “Thank you Doctor basher, for the update, if you would excuse me, the bridge needs me. Inform me if any of your patients wake, I would want to speak to them.” He said with a smile to hear that, all of the patients survive from this attack. Kotie tabbed on his combadge and said, “I am on my way.” And left sickbay to head to the bridge.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptySun Nov 11, 2007 7:02 am

IS:

The world was a swirling black mist, interrupted occasionally by the words of people she did not know. Disturbed in her sleep she rolled to her side.

"I am on my way."

Her eyes slowly opened at the bright panoplay of light and she quickly realized she did not know where she was. Chrysta quickly sat up. As she did, a fox dressed in a blue and black uniform turned to see her.

"You've been unconcious from a lack of oxygen, take it easy, don't move too quickly."

His words were a haze, she blinked slowly. Confused, the words came slowly.

"Where...? Where am I?"

Looking to her right she saw Doctor D'Garmo and little Kara unconcious on tables.

"You're on the Federation Starship Defiant, I'm Doctor Julian Bashir. Now please, lie back down."

"Federation?"

Slowly, she laid back down, turning her head to the left. Seeing Sergeant Ganzer behind a force shield. She shot back up, jarred out of her daze.

"Are we prisoners? Are you with the Technocracy?"

Suddenly she felt very tense. There was a thumping noise to her left, and she turned to see Ganzer rising to his feet, rubbing his head.

---

OOS: Alright, Ganzer and Chrysta are awake. Both are fairly tense, but they won't resort to violence.

---
IS:

Meanwhile on the Dogoda.

Grigory was reclining in an easy chair, enjoying the quiet and the smoke of his pipe. His intercom sputtered up, and green image of his comms officer appeared before him.

"Captain, the Defiant has begun moving towards the docking bay, it seems they are going to dock."

"Understood, I am on my way."

Grigory stood up and started to get dressed. He tapped a button on the wall and said, "Vaal."

The flickering image of his first officer filtered into view.

"Yes, Captain?"

"The Defiant is docking, take a security crew down to the docking bay. Weapons are to be holstered. This is a formal greeting after all."

"I'm on my way, sir."

Grigory finished dressing. "I'll be joining you shortly."

The image flickered out, and Grigory click stepped in front of his mirror, taking a moment to smooth out his uniform. He tapped his pipe against a nearby ashtray. Picking up a packet of unopened tobacco he filled his pipe again, lit it, and exited his quarters.

---

Security office:

Vaal barked out orders to the officers under his command and sent them heading down towards the lifts to the docking bay.

Just before heading out, he thought to look in on Hadred. Walking slowly over to the door, he placed his hand on the panel to open the door. Stopping a moment, he thought the better of it, knowing that the sedatives would have worn off, and he had no time for more ranting.

Turning, Vaal walked quickly to the exit of the security office.

---
OOS:

These guards filtered into the office after you started your interrogation, Phi. heh

Kotie, there are now about 40 officers on their way to the docking bay, including the Captain and First Mate. So, either theres going to be a lot of suprised crew when you transport or a large welcoming party when you dock. Don't worry you'll still be warmly greeted even if you suprise them, heh.

Also, no I don't know why Grigory doesn't suffer from lung cancer yet. He's always smoking that damn pipe. :p

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyMon Nov 12, 2007 11:34 am

"I I don't know what you are talking about?" Hadred stammered, his beady eyes casting about the compartment.

He focused on the door for a moment and his attention caught Phaesis's eye. Phaesis could feel several minds in the outer office. Hadred was trying to attract one of them. Phaesis gently interfered with the attempts, leaving them uninterrupted.

"New Eden," Phaesis reminded him. "You gave the middle man two scrapped mark A gravity generators instead of the agreed upon gravitic type C pulse generators. Then you killed the parents of a young girl and kidnapped her."

Hadred's clouded face turned to Phaesis and snarling smiled. "You must have me confused with another Hadred, my security personal will set you straight." He tapped a commlink inserted on his arm. Phaesis sighed as he pressed it again.

"I've jammed this room, so the only way you could communicate would be by using your psionic powers." Phaesis stated, "But you might not be able to use those either. Now where are they?"

Phaesis felt his own powers rising up within him. He was tired of this game.

"What are you talking about?" Hadred was no longer look about the room, but his canine eyes were locked on Phaesis.

"Enough!" Phaesis's voice reverberated in the room as a blast of purple light engulfed Hadrid, throwing him from the bed. The man lay on the floor, convulsing. His brown fair receded into his skin, being replaced by spins. "This is no longer an interregation. There are only a handful of people with psionic powers on this ship, including us."

His voice softened, "Do you want to confess." Phaesis asked, bringing his rifle up and fingering the trigger."

"The generators are in storage, the girl is there also." Hadred managed to say between gasps of breath. Now he was scared, terrified. "I will take you to them." He raised himself up to his knees, and neatly drew a blaster and fired at Phaesis.

The shot missed, scorching the wall where Phaesis had been standing. There was a hiss of noise as Phaesis fired a single rail into Hadreds chest, pinning the corpse to the floor.

Phaesis gathered his gear and replaced his helmet before approaching the door. He couldn't sense anyone outside of it, so he opened the door and slipped into the office. No one was around so he moved to one of the computer terminals and placed a small device on the interface panel. The device blinked red four times before turning blue.

"Give me an interactive map of the ship." Phaesis muttered. The device blinked again and then turned green. He removed it and placed it on his helmet. The data streamed in, and soon he had a working map of the ship on his visor.

"Find Colony storage bays." He muttered, the map simplified into his current corridor and a route to the storage bays. Phaesis moved into the hallway and started following his nav points.

((For that of the lung cancer… i have no idea, maybe he had taken a medicine against it? And well 40 officers to greet the defiant? Isn’t that a bit overrated, or are they going to plan on an invasion to capture the defiant? Normal would be something of a 5 personnel to greet the persons who come aboard of a ship. But well its your ship.))

The admiral arrived on the bridge, and saw on the view screen that the Defiant was flying under the ships docking bay. Commander Vorge Stood up to give the seat back to the admiral, but the admiral raised his left hand to say that it is okay, that he would stand to watch the docking process, so commander Vorge sat down.

“Commander, still no contact with the vessel?” Kotie asked. “No sir! The coms are still being jammed. Only that when we approached the ship, they opened there docking bay as to say, that we can come aboard.” Vorge replied. “And the unidentified vessel is within 10 minutes at our location.”

“Okay… As soon as we are docked I’m going to inform the captain of this vessel about the incoming one. Mr. Pargiz, take us in, thrusters only. And lower the shields.” “Yes sir!” Mr. Pargiz answered and started the ascend process of docking. An other officer lowered the shield of the ship.

The Defiant lowered its shield and started to rise slowly into the docking bay of the Dogoda. If there would be people watching from the Dodoga into the docking bay, they would be stunned from amazement of this Federation Starship. On the view screen is the rising to be seen the crew looks into the docking bay. When they see a docking port in front of them. Pargiz takes the ships nose to it and couples the ship with it.

“Sir, we are docked.” Pargiz said. “Okay, Commander, Mr. Pargiz, and Krembo you come with me.” Kotie said and headed to the turbolift. The three officers whose names are mentioned stood up and followed the admiral.

All four stepped inside the lift and the admiral said Deck 3. The lift doors closed and the lift lowered to deck 3, there all four stepped out and with the admiral on the lead and the 3 others following him to the airlock. There on his side he opened the lock and made it secure so that only Starfleet officers with there security codes could open the door. This is to make sure that no unwanted persons would enter the ship.

((Let the meeting begin, and maybe the shock also? and a personal note: No one is wearing a phaser or tricorder))

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyWed Nov 14, 2007 3:21 pm

Phaesis didn't dwell on the death of Hadred. The confrontation had not gone as well as he had hoped it would, and the result was far from desirable. Luckily, he had been able to tell that both the generators and the girl were on board. He could find the girl just by using his psionic powers, and Hadred was the type to keep all his eggs in one basket.

He would have to make up for the death though, but that would have to wait.

"Sir." Lesla's AI voice whispered in his ear. "The Defiant has docked, and is being greeted by a security party. They are partial on top of the Razor."

Phaesis almost checked his step before continuing. The way his cloaking device worked, the two ships wouldn't actually be occupying the same space. "Make sure to keep the cloaking device up." He whispered low into his comm device. Luckily his helmet would completely muffle any noise. "See what you can find out passively about the Defiant and the crews of both ships. Out."

He was drawing more attention this time, the arrival of the new ship had the crew's curiosity and caution perked. Plus, whatever was making that jamming signal was still out there, making everyone uneasy.

He quickened his pace down the corridor to where the colonist should have had their heavy machinery located. Luckily it hadn't been blown out to space. He found the storage room, and soon had the door opened.

The storage room was dark, only lit by the light from the corridor. As he stepped the door shut leaving the room in darkness. Phaesis activated his suits low/no light visualization system.

He was worried, time was short before Hadred's body was discovered, and when that happened he would have a very hard to leaving the transport ship. Especially with a scared girl and pair of gravity generators bigger than himself.

Phaesis swore to himself, he would have to leave the generators and hopefully be able to snatch them planet side before Hadred's other client got them. No, he would have to sabotage the generators, it was the only way to keep them from being used for weapons. The girl he had to find.

He paused when he came across a large portable miner station. It was a big device, designed to supply several drones with energy and remote commands, as well as provide shelter for a human crew of four people. However, this one was even bigger than normal.

Phaesis smiled to himself as he opened the access panel to the first generator. Inside, he could just make out the crystal layout of a gravitic generator. It was a clever way to hide two highly illegal pieces of machinery, inside a sturdy yet common one. The miner even had a basic shield system to keep it safe from heat and debris. He was about to replace the panel when he noticed something. A small disk had been wired into the energy supply for the control board. Phaesis reached in and pulled the device out.

"A beacon." Phaesis marveled as he understood the last part of Hadred's plan. Have the a group of pirate fighters blow the storage bay open, then let the ship escape. Then the pirate main group can come by and pick up the goods just floating in space. The beacon was based on a type of magic he had seen before, usually used to help parents keep up with their children.

Phaesis cut the power wires quickly before turning his search to the girl. He found her nearby, in a cryo-capsule designed to be jettisoned into space. He placed the beacon into a storage pouch, and then, not seeing any good alternatives, he activated the capsule to open. The girl was still unconscious when he grabbed her and ran back out of the storage bay.

Where a uniformed man nearly collided with Phaesis.

"This area is closed." The golden retriever started, before seeing the unconscious girl he was carrying. "What is going on?"

Phaesis replied, adding a nice panicked edge to his voice. "It's my niece, her parents couldn't find her when the attack started, so I went looking. She was knocked out in there." Phaesis pointed over his shoulder while placing the girl down. "And I found this. I think it is a tracing beacon." Phaesis added, handing the man the device he had found.

The retriever took the device and stared for a moment. "Take the girl to the med station, I will tell the captain about this."

Phaesis nodded while he picked the unconscious otter back up. The other was now jogging down the corridor, while Phaesis started back towards the Razor.

"Lesla, what is going on?" He whispered into his head set.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty

OOS: Alright, I'll put me new post here, instead of above.

Edit: Thanks for waiting guys, I feel better and ready to continue.

IS:

Sickbay:

Ganzer had a pounding headache. He slowly stood up, rubbing his head. He tried to take a step forward but met with a shimmering yellow-white field off energy that dissapated when he step back.

Shaking off his confusion he took a look around at his surroundings.

"Chrysta?" He asked as he recognised the sorceress sitting on the table infront of him.

The doctor Bashir, turned with a worried look on his face and quickly tapped his combadge.

"Bashir requesting some security in the sickbay."

The doors on the farside of the sickbay slid open as two men wearing black and red uniforms walked in holding phasers. Chrysta quickly jumped out of bed and backed away as the two came in.

"I thought you said we were safe here?" Chrysta said as she ducked behind one of the beds.

"Chrysta calm down, don't do anything you will regret." Ganzer said slowly. Bashir's face changed from worried to confused. Pulling out a tricorder he walked towards the confinement field.

Ganzer took a step back, not sure what he should do. The tricorder jittered and beeped as Bashir approached.

There was a sudden flash of red light as a stream of flame singed in front of Bashir, who quickly doubled back. Chrysta (who had summoned the flame) lowered her hand unsteadily and jumped in front of the field that held Ganzer, arms spread.

The the security guards stood frozen for a moment and Bashir looked dumbfounded, but quickly recovered.

"Chrysta... step away. That thing in his hands isn't a weapon." Ganzer said with a soft edge to his voice. He tapeed his temple twice. "If it were, my internal sensors would have detected something, even from behind this barrier. I'm guessing its just a sensor device of somesort itself."

Chrysta looked back and lowered her arms. Stepping off to the side.

On the Dogoda

The crew was assembled on deck and neatly lined into two rows, twenty men each. Grigori looked to his right at Vaal who stood at rigid attention.

"Far too much formality for my taste." Grigori grumbled. Vaal smirked but stood still. Grigori sighed.

The Defiant landed slowly and steadily on the docking mats near the center of the bay, and came to a stop. Grigori puffed on his pipe and moved it from one side of his mouth to the other.

There was a high pitched whine of metal and the forward hatch of the Defiant opened slowly. A platform of stair descended from the hatch to the deck. four figures stepped out of the hatch, stopped a moment to look around and descended the steps. The man in the lead was a deftly muscled lion with light red curling hair. He was flanked by a broad shouldered cheetah with an oddly shaped crown of ridges on his forehead and a tiger with a grin on his face. Following behind was another shorter lion with darker hair.

They all wore black and grey uniforms with a badge on their chest. The cheetah also wore a metal sash of somesort across his chest. Grigori was not familiar with the design of those uniforms.

Grigori began walking foreward past his crew, followed a half step behind by Vaal. The four stepped off the betoom step as Grigori passed the final line of crew. Grigori continued a step foreward, and stopped.

Taking one final puff from his pipe he smiled and said, "I am Captain Grigori Chenkov, welcome to the Dogoda." Grigori thrust out a hand to shake. "It is a fine fine ship you have Captain... ?" He trailed off seeking his guests name.

Kotie took the captain's hand in a firm clasp and said. "Its Admiral actually. Admiral Kotie of the Federation Starship Defiant."

"Admiral Kotie?" Grigori's eyebrows went up, somewhat suprised. "Regardless, you've saved my ship and my crew and are welcome here."

Glancing over he noticed the Cheetah was watching everything very carefully. "Admiral," Grigori started, "I must assure you that any mutants in your crew will come to no harm, as you can see my own second in command is a mutant."

Kotie looked somewhat confused.

A New Universe - Part 1 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 EmptyThu Dec 06, 2007 7:29 am

The confused look on the admirals face, was due to that Captain Grigori said that he has mutants onboard and looked at commander Vorge, but he don’t look at a mutant for what he knows. Only Vorge was a looking a bit angry for being called a mutant and snarled to Grigori. Kotie looked to his commander and said “Easy commander,” and added, “I think that they have never seen a Klingon before, and mistake you for a mutant.”

Kotie faced back to captain Grigori and introduced his fellow officers he brought with him.
“Captain, To my left I have commander Vorge. Chief at tactical and security. And he is Klingon, not a mutant, so please, don’t call him a mutant as he doesn’t like that.” Commander Vorge stepped forward and shook the hand of Grigori tight and firmly, “It’s a pleasure to meet you captain Grigory” he said in a heavy voice, then stepped back to his place.

“On my right I have Thom Pargiz, my helms officer.” The tiger stepped forward and shook the hand of Grigory gently. “Nice to meet you captain Grigory.” He said and stepped back to his place.

“And behind me I have, Lieutenant Herrie Krembo. My comms officer, he is the one who made contact with you.” The shorter lion walked forward and shook also the captains hand gently, “Nice to meet you captain Grigory.” He said and added. “Captain, our sensors have spotted a very large and well armed vessel coming to our location. With its current speed it would be here within 8 minutes.” Then he stepped back to his place.

When Lieutenant Krembo, said a large ship is coming closer, the look on Grigory’s face became a bit worried.

Defiants Sickbay
In Sickbay, doctor Bashir gestured with his free hand to the two security officers, to lower there phasers, while he looked at Ganzer and Chrysta.

The two officers lowered there phasers and waited by the door, while they looked confused for seeing that an cyborg cared for an person. Normal they wouldn’t care for others then doing what is told them to do.

What the Cyborg said was correct, that sensor device he held to scan the Cyborg, is to get a medical examination of him to see if he resembles of Borg technology, as he looks like one. But from his scans, there is non of it.

Bashir then turned to the two security officers and said to them, “Its okay, our friend here is not from the Borg Collective as I thought it was from seeing him. You can go now, I have everything under control.” The two officers nodded and putted there phasers away in there holsters, turned around and left.

The Doctor turned back to look at the Cyborg behind the force field and to Chrysta, who are confused by what he meant by ‘Borg Collective’ as they never had heard of that group, or knowing what that is.

In the mean time, the two doctors who where working on the weasel from his injuries are finished, with what they could do. The bad burns on his leg are almost healed, but that the loss of his hand is not easily replaced.
For now the weasel must rest and the two doctors walked to a small office in sickbay and started to work on a report of the weasel, for what they all have done.

Defiants Bridge
On the bridge, Hilco is working at his console, for finding out what caused the flux in the warp core and that it expanded to the transwarp coils, for making the transwarp conduit unstable and collapsing.

Hilco called up an datagram of the events from the test, and looked at it. On that he saw suddenly a very large peak appear and then a few moments later a few smaller ones. Astonished for what he saw he said to himself “This isn’t supposed to happen! There has been thousands of simulation tests, and in not one of those tests had happened this.”

He called up by in the datagram the speed indications, on he normal line he saw that the ship was cruising at warp 1, but when it reached the highest peak it changed to a warp 6 for a second and then back to warp 1. When it reached the smaller peaks, the speed changed to warp 2. When the ship went through the conduit to normal space it dropped out of warp.

Finding this very odd and strange, he transmits all the data to the science station across the bridge and then walks to it. There he calls everything up and continues to look for what could caused the peaks.
