Achmed snaps out of his little world as his stomach gives his a hard tweak. More annoyed than anything, he gets onto his feet slowly. These troublesome aches had been frequent lately and only now was Achmed feeling motivated to do something about it, so began searching for the sick bay for a good ten minutes.

IS:

Dogoda Sickbay - Back Office

Dr. Ancir sat hunched at his desk, trying to write reports and double checking his information on Cybernetics. Since D'Garmo had not showed up for his shift, Ancir had to cover for him. Unfortunately, Ancir had no experience working with Cybernetics. Even his own implants were a mystery to him. He just hoped D'Garmo hadn't been in the Colony Bay

Pausing a moment, he set down his pen and leaned back in his chair cracking his back uncomfortably. Letting his mind wander a moment, he stood up and walked back towards the main section of sickbay, making sure no one was there.

As he was about to turn and get back to his work, he heard the distinctive clack of footsteps against the hallway metal panels. He turned to greet his guest when the air filled with shimmering blue/white sparkles, and five people materialised from thin air.

Seeing his visitor pull his weapon, Ancir tensed, unsure what to do. As much of a giant as he was, it just made him a larger target.

It was then that Ancir recognised D'Garmo and Ganzer.

---

Dogoda's Bridge

Grigory asked Vaal into the meeting room. As Vaal entered and sat down, Grigory began. "Kaiden... he wants me to hand Hadred over."

Vaal was suprised, but remained silent.

"He claims that, if I hand him over, he will spare the crew. Unfortunately, Hadred is dead."

"What? I saw him not more than an hour ago."

"Aye, he was killed by Phaesis. As far as I'm concerned he was in his rights to do so. But thats not all, he wants the girl Phaesis rescued from Hadred."

Both fell silent, a difficult decision on their minds. Vaal's Holocomm blinked.

Miranda's face appeared as Vaal clicked the button. "Sir, I don't wish to intterupt, but the Blood Horn has just made a course chage. It is now moving away from us."

"Thank you, Miranda." Miranda smiled as her face filtered out. Both Vaal and Grigory sighed in relief at the news.

---

Dogoda's Docking Bay

The Docking Bay doors slid open as five guards and a pair of engineers filtered quickly into the room.

The lead officer, a tall black scaled lizard named Mark immediately pointed towards where the Defiant had been. "Take some readings, quickly now. If theres any sort of residue, it could quickly dissipate."

One engineer nodded, as they both ran quickly to the former resting place of the Defiant with their scanners. The one in the lead quickly recoiled with a clanging noise. The other stopped running.

Putting his hand forward his felt solid metal and slowly measured his weight against it to steady himself as he stood. Holding his bleeding nose, the engineer swept the area with the scanner.

"I'm not picking anything up, but I'm certain the Defiant is still right here. Most be a cloaking device."

Mark pulled the Holocomm from his pocket and signaled Vaal.

"Sir, it was a false alarm. The Defiant appears to still be here, only, under cloak."

The VC was silent for a moment, before beginning. "Understood, stay there for now, send me any updates."

OOS: Trying to stay ahead of the game, heh. Wonder how things will happen in the Sickbay. :p

Phaesis slowly lowered his rifle. "I'm sorry, I was just bringing this girl in for help and you startled me." He glanced around the room, carefully keeping all his senses at high alert. There was another psion in sickbay, and a mystic.

"What is wrong with the girl." Said a large rat when he had recovered and came forward a step. He nervously glanced back the group of people who had materialized as if he was looking for help or an explanation.

"She was brought out of a forced and rushed cryosleep to quickly." Phaesis explained quickly. He carefully lifted Pandora back up. He glanced back at the group of five who looked almost as confused as the doctor and Phaesis. "I didn't know the Defient had technocrat technology." He commented, testing to see what their reactions would be.

Dogoda Sickbay
As the group materialized in the sickbay and vice admiral Kotie saw that a badger pointed a weapon towards the group, he moved instinctively his left hand to the right side of his waist, only there he didn’t found his phaser as he was not carrying one in the first place.

He saw also that the large rat was surprised about their suddenly appearing in sickbay. Even when the badger lowered his weapon, he remained on his place. Listening to what they said.

“Sir, I can assure you that the Defiant doesn’t have that technology. It may only work similar to it.” Said the lion in a black / grey uniform. “And please, put your weapon down as I am unarmed.”

Defiant’s Bridge
Chief engineer O’ Mane, walked back to his own console after he found out what the cause was of the why the transwarp conduit collapsed and made a report of it in the ships logbook. At his own console, he went to check all the ships systems to see if everything works as it should be. Everything reported green and he turned to the right. “Commander, all systems are operational and working as it should be. We can uncloak now if you want.” He said.

“Thank you Chief.” Commander Vorge replied while he sat in the command chair and is studying the debris field what was on the viewscreen.

Thom Pargiz, the helmsman, had taken his station in front of the command chair and pushed in a command to turn of the cloaking device. As the cloak turned off, all the lights in the ship restored to normal, as an indication that the cloak is offline.

Lieutenant Herrie Krembo noticed on his console, that the ship in pursuit suddenly slowed down and turned 180 degrees around to fly away from them. This he reported to the Commander.

Dogoda's Docking Bay
In the Docking bay and in front of the guards and engineers The Defiant fades in from being invisible to visible.

(I wonder it too for what happens next in the sickbay + docking bay, now that the Defiant is visible again.)

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyFri Feb 08, 2008 4:05 am

Location: The Pharaon: Deep Space, eight light weeks outside the Gemini System.

He grunted slightly as he pulled the last piece of the neutronium skeleton over his shoulders and connected it to a power feed. A friendly HUD appeared in a crystal blue superimposed over his vision and blinked a message stating structural integrity at thirty percent and rising slowly. He took a sharp breath as the dark carbon muscles began to realign themselves around his body and constricted around his chest. Then watched as the suits internal fabbers started to fill in the gaps with more of the black corded nano muscles. Satisfied the process was properly underway he stood, and walked across the room and entered the anti-grav chamber so the suit’s fabbers would have no restriction in completing its construction. The processes took a little over two hours and when it was done he was able to walk properly again with the assistance of the powered nanosuit.

“Query: Master, will you be continuing your training today?” Raelthorne asked in his monotone voice.

“I should be fine, that was tiring, but the anti-grav chamber was actually nice, it will be great when I’m back up to at least a semblance of normality.”

“Statement: That would be nice master. Question: Would you care for some tea before continuing your training regimen?’

“That sounds great Raelthorne, thank you.”

Phaesis laughed softly. "It is hard to put a gun any lower and carry an unconscious girl at the same time, especially when people you don't know materialize after a pirate attack. I apologize, but you startled me."

He didn't sense any hostility from anyone in the bay, only curiosity, concern, and someone was hungry.

The doctor cleared his throat. "If you will follow me, I will take you to where you can leave her."

"Thank you, but I will be remaining in sickbay, Captain's orders." Phaesis commented.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyFri Feb 08, 2008 9:39 pm

Dogoda Sickbay

Halim lead Phaesis to a free table and helped to ease the chld onto it. Flicking on his bio scanner, Dr. Ancir monitored the child's readings.

"Those are unusual orders... are you the child's Guardian?" Looking back to the child, "She should be fine, though she'll have a nasty headache when she wakes up." He noted. "Ah, D'Garmo, where have you been?"

"When the Colony Bay... was destroyed, Admiral Kotie here had us transported aboard. They saved our lives."

Halim nodded, "You are welcome in my sickbay then, so why a direct transport here?"

Ganzer hefted his way over to a empty table, and sat down. "Any time you're ready doc, this temporary leg is uncomfortable. I can't feel anything from the knee down."

D'Garmo went quickly to attend his patient. Kara followed in his wake. He pushed in the rotating cup and slowly removed the temporary leg.

Speaking to Dr. Ancir, D'Garmo said, "Mr. Ganzer's knee server blew out, walking all the way here was impractical, Admiral Kotie offered a more direct route." Turning back to his patient, "Wait here, while I get a replacement from the back office." He said, as he walked towards the back, Kara sneaking behind.

Ganzer, looking around, spotted the Sabre-toothed Tiger sitting on one of the beds nearby. "What are you in for?"

Chrysta, curious about Phaesis, approached. "I haven't seen you before, are you another colonist?"

---

Dogoda's Bridge

Grigori spoke up, "Well, we're going to have to inform Phaesis about the intended buyer, he has a right to know, I think."

Vaal nodded. "If you think he is trustworthy. You take a lot of chances allowing an unknown Psion on board like that."

"What choice do I have? Besides, I gave my word, and that, at least is still worth something."

Vaal said nothing more on the subject. He remained wary, however.

---

Dogoda's Docking Bay

The ship filtered back into view as Mark watched. He immediately tapped his Holocomm.

"VC Vaal, sir, the Defiant's cloak has just been disabled."

Vaal's voice crackled through. "Thank you, remain in the Docking Bay for one more hour, and keep me posted if anything changes. You may dismiss the others, if you wish."

"Aye sir." The image filtered out. Pointing to the engineer with the bloody nose. "I know its not much, but you should have Dr. Ancir take a quick look at that, you're dismissed."

Nodding, the Engineer, holding his nose saluted, and walked out of the Docking Bay.

---

Blood Horn

The hangar was dead quiet as a sole figure entered and made its way to a one man scout ship and entered.

The lights on the underside of the ship slowly lit, as it lifted off the deck and slowly turned to the left before heading out of the hangar.

Once out of the hangar, it adjusted course slightly and rocketed off at near light speeds.

OOS:

Gild, you have a jumping point to jump right in now, if you like.

I do likes me some mysterious figures on evil ships, doing inscrutable stuff.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptySat Feb 09, 2008 10:52 am

Phaesis grinned as the doctor turned away to quickly for him to answer the question. You didn't need to be a psion to see that the man could probably care for a room full of patients just as well as he could this small group of patients.

You are going to have to take your helmet off.Lesla pointed out. [/i]

"Right." Phaesis whispered, deteteching the locking machinisms and removing the helmet. He placed on an empty bed next to Pandora's.

He was simply watching the new group of individuals and putting names to faces. D'Garmo was the racoon and probably the cybernatic specialist. Ganzer was the cyborg wolf. There was also a small kitty, a saber tooth who wasn't one of the group of five, and a lion. The lion was wearing a uniform he wasn't familiar with There was also a fox, who was approaching him now.

"I haven't seen you before, are you another colonist?" She asked.

"Not exactly," Phaesis said, smiling. He had found a mystic. "I'm the girl's Guardian now. I hope to negotiate a position on board for a bit."

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyMon Feb 18, 2008 3:44 pm

Dogoda Sickbay
Admiral Kotie nodded and from what D’Garmo said from rescue of them “That is correct, I am admiral Kotie, from the Federation starship Defiant. My apologies for startling you with our suddenly arrival here.” He said “I saw that this ship was under attack from those fighters and decided to help out.”

Kotie looked around as he saw not much familiar things in this sickbay then there is in the sickbay of the Defiant or in any other Federation starship or space station. Personally he found that Dr. Ancir is very tall for his size as a rat.

“Perhaps I can ask if the Captain can come down to here?” said Dr. D’Garmo, while he was looking in the back office for the correct leg for Ganzer.

“Dammit, D'Garmo, this is a Sickbay, not a Conference Room!” replied Dr. Ancir angry after he heard what D’Garmo said to bring the captain to sickbay also. Then went the doors open and an engineer with a bleeding nose entered the room.

The admiral and a few others looked at him and wondered what happened to him.

Star Trek Timeline
Captain's log, stardate 57020.69. The Enterprise is following the course that the Defiant took when it left Deep space Nine for its transwarp test flight to Earth, two hours ago.. Only it has not yet arrived there and the Enterprise is investigating it.

Light years away and in an other time line then that of After The Fall. The U.S.S. Enterprise-E is flying on warp 6. In the captain’s ready room there sits a bald man, in his starfleet uniform, behind his desk. On the desk stands a laptop and he is talking to it while we has a PADD with scan results the crew has made in his hand and he is discussing this with the person on the screen of the findings. “… I know that, admiral. But the Defiant can’t just be disappeared without a trace, so far we still haven’t found anything. I hope that they aren’t in a repeat of what had happened to Voyager, nine years ago.” The bold man said. “I hope it too, Jean Luc. Only this time, they can transwarp back to here. As you know that they have four experimental transwarp coils aboard, but I hope you find something soon, as you know that Starfleet command does not like it to lose a Defiant class starship and its crew. Janeway out.” Admiral Janeway said and broke off the connection.

On the bridge of the Enterprise the crew is busy with scanning the sectors for a trace of the Defiant, when there goes off a signal on the tactical console. An officer looks at it and sees that one of the scanners detected an energy spark that comes from a strange energy anomaly behind the ship and it gets slowly closer to the Enterprise. The officer informs that the captain is needed on the bridge.

Picard placed the report on the desk, gets up, stretches his uniform and leaves the ready room to appear on the bridge. There he sees on the main view screen the rear end of his ship with in the distance a yellow orange energy wave, which is approaching the ship fast. “What is that?” he inquired.
“Well.. uh sir, I don’t know what it is, but it contains very high levels of energy and it is closing in onto us.” The officer said.

“Can we outrun it?” “no sir, that is not possible, as I see now that it somehow connected to our warp drive.”

Picard thought quickly, “Drop out of warp, and take everything offline, but keep the shield and deflector disk online.” He ordered. “Aye sir.” A few officers on the bridge said and went to work. Within a few moments the Enterprise dropped out of warp and all the lights of the ship went out.

A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyTue Feb 19, 2008 1:51 pm

OOC: I'm going to go ahead and post also. I'll mainly be interacting with the NPC's but anyone is free to jump in. I'm trying to leave it open. also, I apologize for my lack of attention to a few details. I'm going to add some more to Phaeis's character description later.
IC:
Phaesis kept his eyes on Chrysta, but his ears open to all that was going on in the sick bay. He learned that the lion was Admiral Kotie and that the Defiant was part of some faction called the Federeation. Dr. Ancir, the giant rat, was upset that the Captain might be joining them.

"I'm also thinking about joining the crew here." Chrysta was saying, glancing back at the injured wolf. "I'm one of the colonist, but I feel as much at home here as I have anywhere for sometime."

Phaesis smiled. "My reasons are primarily for the girl. I feel that the this ship's environment would be better for here than some static settlment."

Chrysta stared at him before letting out a short burst of laughter. "You don't sound like someone who is used to kids. Do you really think that a transport ship like this would be a good place to raise a child?"

Phaesis bristled slightly at the rebuke, while letting his gaze wander about the bay. The wolf was glaring towards them, trying not to look to obvious. Jealousy, Phaesis could pratically taste on the air. Not a fierce jealousy of lovers, but a competitive jealousy of someone interested.

"I think that a ship like this one, with no alignment and myriad of jobs and people with skills would be great for any child. Especially one stuck with a old badger like me for a guardian." Phaesis leaned sat down on the bed next to Pandora's, his helmet on one side and his rifle on the other. he reached over and deactivated the rifle's main firing system, while continuing to speak. "There are cybernetic specialist, fighters, pilots, ex pirates, mystics..." His voice trailed off and he smiled at Chrysta slightly. "My name is Phaesis." He said, extending his hand.

Her eyes widened only slightly in surprise. "Chyrsta." She said, accepting it briefly. "Ganzer is injured security officer." She said, nodding back towards where the wolf was waiting for his leg.

"And D'Garmo is our cybernetic specialist.' The wolf growled at Phaesis. "Who seems to be taking his time finding me a new leg. What do you do that this ship could find useful."

Phaesis grinned, keeping both hands well away from his rifle. "I'm a freelance system engineer and small op mercenary. However, with Pandora to care for I might be needing a more stable career choice." Phaesis replied.

There was a hiss of static coming from his helmet. "Excuse me." Phaesis said, while picking up the helmet and removing a comm device. "What is it?"

Sooner or later he would have to reveal the existence of his ship, so he figured now would be a good time. Lesla voice came in over the comm. "The pursuing ship has altered curse, but I'm detecting what could be a small ship. Also, there are several more vessels ahead, but I don't think they are related to the attackers."

"Thankyou Lesla, say hello to our new friends." Phaesis replied into the come. A less than cheery greeting blurted out of the com device before it went silent. "She is my ships AI, and she has been monitoring us while cloaked."

Finding the door to the sick bay, Achmed opens it curiously, hearing much noise from the inside. His stomach growls at the sabertooth hungrily as he takes his first look into the room. Without caring if he is inturrupting, he looks at the nearest being and asks rather blatantly, "Where is the food to be found? I don't like ship travel overly much."
He would twitch the half of his left ear as he probes outward with his mind to get a feel for his surroundings. His light green eyes look straight into the eyes of those in the room one by one as he makes a lazy attempt to see into their mind briefly.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptySat Mar 01, 2008 5:50 am

OOS: Gah, sorry, sorry. Meant to post on Friday, but my brain is fried from lack of sleep. I'll post as soon as possible, but it will likely be by Monday. If anyone wants to go ahead and post before I get to it, that is fine as well.

----
IS:

Dogoda's Sickbay
Halim looked to the door where two new arrivals stood, one a Sabre-tootehd tiger, he had not seen before, but he was clutching his stomach, the other one of the engineering crew with a bloody nose.

Putting down what he was doing he walked to the door and lead both inside, sitting them down on the various beds. Turning to the Engineer first, Halim flicked on his scanner.

"Thats a nasty spot there. Did you trip into a bulkhead?"

"No... not quite... ah... is that the Admiral?"

The engineer, pointing to Kotie. Halim looked back and nodded.

"From what I gather, yes. You should be fine, take these pills." Halim reach into his coat pocket and produced two small capsules."They'll stem the bloodflow. If you feel the slightest bit light headed, return here."

The engineer nodded and swallowed his pills, before hopping off the bed and returning to his post, warily watching the Defiant's chief officer. Halim turned to his other patient.

"I don't believe we've met, I'm Dr. Ancir, one of the ship's doctors. You say you're only looking for some food, Mr... ?" Halim trailed off waiting for a reply.

--

D'Garmo returned from the back room with a new metal leg. It matched the configuration of Ganzer's other leg.

"Finally! Deus, took you long enough." Ganzer spat, clearly exasperated.

"Well, I'm sorry, but your build is unique, most of the stock parts wouldn't be good for a long term replacement." D'Garmo (with Kara in tow) decoupled Ganzer's temporary leg, pushing the new limb into the joint. "This -will- sting."

Ganzer gritted his teeth, and D'Garmo pulled open the back knee panel and aligned the sensors. Ganzer inhaled sharply as the leg aligned itself with his nervous system. After a moment he relaxed.

"Alright, stand up and give the new leg a try." Ganzer rose and walked around the bed.

"Feels a little numb, but otherwise alright."

"Thats natural, full sensory input should return in time."

Ganzer nodded. "So, we done here?"

"Yeah, theres nothing else I can do... unless you want some upgrades."

"No... I'm good."

Ganzer walked over towards Phaesis and Chrysta.

"I'm Security Officer Ganzer." Ganzer said, keeping his emotions in check, he extended a hand to Phaesis. "Welcome aboard. I think, maybe the Captain should know about the small ship. This ship does not have the best sensors."

D'Garmo in turn, walked over to Kotie. "Admiral, I think it best if we go see the Captain. He'll want to know what happened."

----

Dogoda's Bridge
Miranda chirped through to the Conference room on Griogri's Holocomm.

"Sir, you're needed on the bridge, we have three Department ships on scanner, but no station. I don't know what happened, but we're reading a lot of debris."

"Kaiden..." Grigori spat.

"We're... receiving a hail from the lead ship."

"Understood, I'm coming back to the bridge. Looks like my talk with Phaesis will have to wait..."

Grigori and Vaal both stood and returned to the main bridge, taking their seats.

----

Elsewhere
The needle-like scout-ship zipped through space, its black frame barely detectable against the starscape. Slowly, red runes began to etch themselves on the sides of the craft, and it began to spin, as the runes continued to glow more brightly.

As it spun through the void glowing in red energy, tendrils of red mist began to envelop it. Soon the craft was fully obscured, and when the mist dissapated soon after, it was no where to be seen.

----

OOS: ok, finally posted. The ship at the bottom is (of course) the ship that launched from the Blood Horn.heh, it is... for lack of a better word, undetectable right now. Sensors would read that it spiked in energy before dissappearing (possibly like an explosion).

This is the last chance to fill the Admiral seat for the Department Bllod Horn Taskforce (well, before I post next anyway).

Mind reading and roleplay notes, on the way via PM, to our local Psions, though they aren't necesarily needed. :p

Sorry again on that delay. Just glad I got myself posting before next week. :/

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptySun Mar 02, 2008 12:25 am

OOC: I'm assuming that the runes indicate some sort of mystic power at work? Also, you called Phaesis Phi at one point in the post. As much as I would love to be a psionic mustelid.

IC:
Phaesis smiled as Chrysta pointed out the different people in the room, letting his gaze and mind settle only briefly on each one. He didn't sense anything for him to be worried about, other than some jealousy from Ganzer and hyper distracted thoughts from the doctor.

He only paid mild attention as the door to the hallway opened and two more joined the sickbay. Then he felt the prickling sensation of psionic powers being used and he turned his head towards the door where the sabortooth stood. Phaesis reflexively brought up his own powers and warded himself, Pandora, and Chrysta from the mind probe. "That isn't nice." He muttered under his breath, before turning his attention back to his conversation.

Ganzer had joined them now. "I'm Security Officer Ganzer." Welcome aboard. I think, maybe the Captain should know about the small ship. This ship does not have the best sensors."

Phaesis clasped Ganzer's hand briefly. "I agree, and as soon as the Captain is informed I'll have the shipped decloaked. She's well equipped with sensors, and might be able to aid some in the rest of the journey if the crew here is interested." Phaesis paused slightly. "I'd gladly serve as some form of shuttle/scout operator for a very reasonable deal."

There was a sudden prickling sensation along Phaesis skin, and immediately Lesla's voice came over the speaker of his comm. "The smaller ship has vanished. There was a brief eneregy surge, but I can't be to sure of what happened with my cloaked sensors."

"Stay cloaked until Grigory and his crew know about your existence and won't fire upon you decloaking right on top of them." He muttered into the microphone. "Keep monitoring for strange energy signatures."

The others were talking about joining the captain. "I'll wait here." Phaesis said, monitioning towards the girl. "Go ahead and tell the captain about my ship and please tell him that I think there is another cloaked scout vessel in pursuit."

OOS:Ah, oops, I didn't even notice I had done that, lol. Editing.

*Chuckles*

I'm not normally prone to such mis-namings, heh. Either way, its fixed now.

Also, from now on, I may give a mind scan report every once in a while, just in case either you or Gild can use it.

Lastly, aye, the runes are mystical in nature.

The sabertooth blinks. "Argh. Me name be Achmed, Mr. Ancir..." Just then a sneeze knocks Achmeds head backwards. Slowly he lifts his head back up and wiggles his nose sensitively. "Maybe I do be sick too..." He shuffles a bit akwardly.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptySat Mar 15, 2008 8:00 pm

OOC: Sorry for the long delay, I’ve been distracted for it too long and stalled my whole rping here, but at last here is it. And I shall try to keep it up, meaning posting within a week of time from last made post / reply.

IC:
The lion listened and looked at the persons who spoke up. So he learned that the badger is known as Phaesis, who has a cloaked vessel somewhere, only the scanners of the Defiant have not detected it, so it uses an different kind of technology then Starfleet knows. And that computer of his ship is called Lesla.
He came also to know that there also pirates around, so it is good possible that the big ship is a pirate ship that wanted to raid this ship.

The admiral looked surprised to the engineer, when he asked if he was the admiral and pointed to Kotie. He had no idea of what had happened to the engineer and he didn’t told it anyone of them. So He finds also the treatment a bit unusual then he knows, but if it works it works, right?
The look he had gotten from the engineer, just before he left was strange, like it said of, “how did you came here in sickbay, while we where in the docking bay?”

He came also to know that the sabertooth who joint as last the sickbay to be Achmed and perhaps he is space sick? The admiral thought for himself, even it could be also something else then that.

The moment that Ganzer got his new leg, he was really pleased with it, as it had been taking too long from his perspective. Even his system needs to get used to it.

Looking up to D’Garmo as he walked and spoke to him, “I agree. As he needs to know that we are here onboard of his ship, and not longer on the Defiant.” The admiral replied with a nod.

Defiant Bridge
On the bridge of the Defiant, Herrie’s console bleeped and looked on it. There he got the readings from the ships sensors, that had detected, that a small ship left the large one and was heading towards them, but suddenly disappeared in spike of energy, like it had exploded, but there was no debris of it.
This he reported to the commander.

Meanwhile, Hilco and Thom are reconstructing with the help of the computer the starbase, from the debris pieces in front of the Defiant. So far the progress is slow, but the shape of it has a bit away of a mushroom.

A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyTue Mar 25, 2008 6:22 am

Location: The Pharaon: Deep Space, six light weeks outside the Gemini System.

He felt restless and tired; it was his first time with free access to the rest of the ship beyond the medical and training bays. He decided to head to the arboretum to relax in the parks and walked out of the large double doors of the sick bay and into the hallway. He walked around the corner towards the blue double ring set on a grey plate on the floor. A holodisplay appeared before him showing a list of destinations, he found the intersection nearest the Arboretum on Deck 6 and selected it.

Blue light swirled around him as he was teleported to his chosen destination. He headed down the hallway a short way before stopping in front of the large magnetic doors and pressed the pad on the wall to open them. He heard a click and then an obviously automated recording of Horo’s voice filled the area, “Access to the Arboretum is denied due to a nearby hull breach.”

He sighed and decided he should get around to getting a full damage report, returned to the teleporter and selected the main bridge. Again he was assailed with the recording stating that the bridge was off limits due to hull breach. Curiously he tried his quarters and was similarly denied. Irritated he selected the destination spot near the CIC, its location in the middle of the most armored section of the ship meant that surely it would still be operational.

The blue light swirled around him again and he was standing in yet another corridor. He stalked his way towards the entry way and walked through the large heavy blast doors, into the dimmer hub of the Pharaon’s control systems. There were several stations each facing the large central recessed section of the room where Horo stood next to an illuminated pedestal with a large holographic screen projecting an exterior image of the Pharaon.

“Horo… Would you be kind enough to give me a damage report?” He said as he walked down the stairs towards her.

She looked up at him and nodded, “Of course Master. Decks 1 through 3 and 7 through 10 are completely sealed off due to multiple hull breaches and exposure to space. This of course makes the bridge, your quarters, and the main fabber inaccessible. Since the fabber is inaccessible this means anything beyond a simple repairs or patches to the hull are impossible. This is why the arboretum, the forward observation deck and recreational areas in the forward and starboard sections of decks 4 through 6 are inaccessible.”

His head was starting to hurt, “how did this happen?”

“Our course took us near the outskirts of an uncharted star system. We sent in several probes during our flyby and found nothing too remarkable. Several gas giants, two or three rocky planets in the habitable ring, one that had an atmosphere and was possibly habitable but we couldn’t gather more data with just a small group of probes. The system had a larger and denser than average Kuiper belt filled with space dust and micrometeorites. The systems sun though was erratic and during our flyby it’s solar winds intensified by a factor of nearly one thousand. This resulted in an abnormally large amount of meteorites of significant size and micrometeorites overloading our deflectors and tearing through our hull. Since we were moving at near relativistic speeds we were unfortunately unable to maneuver away. As it stands we are currently running with full power to less than 30% of the ship. While our defenses are mostly operational, several systems along the starboard side are inoperative.”

“Thank you Horo that is a pretty sobering thought. Is there anything else of note?”

“We’ve been picking up signals from the Gemini System. Mostly encrypted but the few that are open and that I’ve been able to crack so far seem to indicate that the system is now much more heavily populated than before. Even with a two thousand year time passage there is some sort of discrepancy that I cannot account for. You should know that I am receiving some signals using the standard Zaibatsu frequency range and there are others mentioning them as an in system conglomerate. There is also no mention of Dominion control though there are signals using standard frequencies.”

He scratched his jaw lightly in thought, “Huh… I suppose that after the Terminus Incident, if whatever is affecting our contact with Sol and our Warp is still evident in system it is likely that since their pathetic coup failed, Zaibatsu would have attempted their mad social engineering experiments here.”

Horo looked over his way curiously, “Any specific orders Master?”

He looked over at her, then with a smile and practiced gesture created a small holographic apple and tossed it her way. “Fall into uncharted colony integration pattern theta. Monitor the incoming signals from the system to learn as much about the area as you can. Clear our transponder the moment, switch to silent running but load the forward mass drivers. Since we’re definitely going into potentially hostile territory that may have my records on file it appears I will have to take on a false identity. Harold Lazarus will work; I should have all the requisite information in the database, it was one of the first pseudonyms I used, I think it was in the Lazax system. Keep me up to date on things; I suppose I will find an outward facing hallway with a bench to relax at.”

Horo was happily munching on the apple as he was turning around to walk out, she quickly swallowed what she had and said, “By your command Doctor Lazarus.”

A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Finally! Posting again.   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyTue Apr 08, 2008 7:43 pm

OOS:

Sweet Jeebus, I have no excuses for this little delay in posting. Sorry guys.

Hopefully the pointless delay hasn't cooled anyone's interest, though I'll understand if it has. :/

----
IS:

Nudum Cogito Bridge

Like most Department ships, the bridge was a long room with a raised walkway/platform running along middle of the room, and a pit on either side where the technicians toiled away. Slowly walking the length of the bridge, Admiral Rommel looked from right to left into the pit overlooking his crew. A frown crossed his face as he made his way to the end of the walkway, to the main screen. The image of a battle damaged colony ship displayed predominantly, and a holographic representation of the ship projected a few feet from it.

"Admiral, the Dogoda informs us that they are ready to begin the receive further communication."

"Very well, bring them on screen."

The hologram of the ship filtered away, though the image of it on the mainscreen remained. Replacing the hologram was the form of a grizzled old lynx with a bat standing by his side.

"I am Admiral Rommel on the Department Blood-Horn Taskforce Flagship, Nudum Cogito. Identify yourself, and what you purpose here is."

The lynx puffed on a pipe, seeming to consider his words.

"I am Grigory Chenkov, Captain of the Dogoda. I was contracted to transport colonists to a space station in this sector."

"I take it you encountered some difficulty?"

Grigory looked to his compatriot, who spoke up.

"Admiral, I'm Second in Command, Vaal Norman. We sustained heavy damage when ambushed by pirates en route. We are reasonably certain that the pirates who ambushed us are associated with Kaiden and the Blood-Horn."

"Well, Captain, Commander. I regret to inform you, that the only major station in this area was destroyed." Rommel began. "We think the Blood-Horn was responsible."

The pipe slung low in Grigory's mouth. "We detected wreckage but... that station was massive! And well guarded!" Vaal simply grimaced.

Rommel continued. "Captain, given the circumstances, I believe it would be best if we escourted you to the closest Department station."

Vaal and Grigory looked to one another, and Grigory nodded.

"I agree, Admiral, we have already lost a significant portion of or passengers in the attack."

"Good. Dogoda, fall in line behind my ship. Do not engage your light drives. You have my word, no harm will come to your passengers."

"Thank you Admiral. Dogoda out."

The holograms disentegrated and a hologram of the Dogoda reappeared.

"Inform Department Station 1106 that we are returning to port, momentarily."

----

Dogoda Sickbay

Halim pulled out a small cloth and wiped his face off, having been caught off guard by Achmed's sneeze.

"I see, could be allergens, please sit still." Achmed looked pained by having to sit still, and wiggled his feet about incessantly and Halim ran a body scan on him with his Bio-Scanner.

"Hmm... I'm not seeing anything too serious. I have some nanite capsules you can take, that should take care of the... sneezing."

----

As the group within the sickbay considered their options, a gray furred woman ermine in a white/blue lab coat carted a hovering black capsule down the Dogoda's hallway towards the Sickbay. Hearing the noise inside the Sickbay she slowed slightly at the door before pushing in.

Halim looked up quickly, "Ah, Dr. Akilah, I thought you were off today."

"I was, before receiving report of a body that needed to be put in storage for a proper investigation by the security chief."

D'Garmo looked to the capsule before adding, "Alright, well, I have to report to the Captain before?"

"We... uh... thought you were dead, D'Garmo." Akilah stated puzzled.

"I... got better? No, seriously, Admiral Kotie here saved us last minute. Actually, if you'll excuse us, we have to report to the Captain." Kneeling down, "Kara? would you like to meet the Captain?" Kara nodded, and D'Garmo got back up.

Ganzer looked to Chrysta. "I have to get back to duty now, you sure your fine here?"

"Perfectly." Chrysta said quickly.

Ganzer, D'Garmo (with Kara in tow), and Kotie exited the Sickbay.

"So, what happened?" Halim continued after they had left.

"Hadred. They found him 'stapled' to the floor in the security office. The deck chief wants him put into cryo until further notice."

"I'll open the cryo pod, bring the capsule over."

Halim proceeded to open a pod in the corner of the med-bay with a black cover, before unloading the hovering capsule into it.

"Ah, where are my manners." Halim recalled suddenly. "Mr. Phaesis, this is our lead doctor, Akilah Raunsch."

----

OOS: A bit sloppy... just want to really get this going, again. I don't think Akilah is going to be a long term or important NPC, but she serves a purpose. :p

I may or may not add her to the NPC thread soon... we'll see.

Dogoda Sickbay

"A week? Dear me, maybe you should visit the mess hall?"

Halim took four pills from his pockets.

"Take these two today, now or whenever you like." He put those two in Achmed's hand. "The other two, hold on to. If you happen to suffer a relapse of.. sneezing, then take them."

Halim put the other two in a small clear plastic bottle, and gave them to Achmed.

"If you'd like a could summon one of the off duty nurses to escourt you to the mess hall with a double meal ticket. We can't have our passengers going hungry."

A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptySat Apr 26, 2008 7:19 am

OOC: At last, here is my part and i can tell you, its not a small one. Enjoy it. Smile

Defiant
On the Bridge commander Vorge looked from the left to right on the bridge from the captain’s chair and saw that all of the officers are working hard. A few are working on to find out what has happened to the used to be Starbase and how it would have looked liked. Another few are working on to find out where they are now, as it is clear that they are no longer in Federation space or close to it. And a couple of engineers in the engineering room are working on computers, trying to understand why a spatial anomaly could do so much damage to the transwarp coils.

Back on the bridge, Lieutenant Herrie receives on audio a hail from the lead ship, that is directed to the Dogoda. “Commander,” Herrie said and the the commander turned around to face lieutenant Herrie. “What is it Herrie?” Vorge replied.

“Sir, I have received a hail from the lead ship of group, that is directed to the Dogoda and the Dogoda answered it.” Herrie told the commander calmly.

“Has the lead ship detected us?” asked Vorge a bit worried and if it is so, he must then notify the admiral and asking him to come back to the ship.

Herrie shook his head, “No sir, they haven’t detected us, I don’t even think that they know that we are inside of the Dogoda.”

The Klingon cheetah nodded, “Okay, put the audio on the speakers, lets hear it for what they have to say. Perhaps we get wiser on where we are and what has happened to that starbase.”

Herrie nodded and pushed on a button to switch it to the bridge audio speakers. On the viewscreen is a massive Department ship to be seen, with on the top right side the information about it, which the sensors have detected.

Audio convo
"I am Admiral Rommel on the Department Blood-Horn Taskforce Flagship, Nudum Cogito. Identify yourself, and what you purpose here is."

"I am Grigory Chenkov, Captain of the Dogoda. I was contracted to transport colonists to a space station in this sector."

"I take it you encountered some difficulty?"

"We detected wreckage but... that station was massive! And well guarded!"

Rommel continued. "Captain, given the circumstances, I believe it would be best if we escourted you to the closest Department station."

"I agree, Admiral, we have already lost a significant portion of or passengers in the attack."

"Good. Dogoda, fall in line behind my ship. Do not engage your light drives. You have my word, no harm will come to your passengers."

"Thank you Admiral. Dogoda out."

After that there was only a static noise and Herrie pushed on a button to turn out the speakers and the noise ended.

“That explains the destruction of the starbase.” Thom said as he turned around to look at the commander. “Yes, and look at the shape of the Starbase.” Hilco said as he pushed in a few buttons then turned around to face the viewscreen. The viewscreen changed from viewing the massive Department ship to a computerized and reconstructed starbase.

Hilco continued to explain “It is remarkable identical to that of a Federation starbase, only it doesn’t has a registration or an indication that it belongs to the Federation. Also have the long range scanners detected more starbases in this quadrant, and I think that there are more like these around.”

“The only thing I don’t understand is why captain Grigory and commander Vaal didn’t mentioned us, for helping him to fend off the pirates that attacked his ship.” Herrie said.

Commander Vorge listened to the comments of the officers and stared at the starbase on the viewer before he turned to Hilco and Thom “Hilco and Thom, I want you to find out everything about these starbases and then to compare it to the ones of the Federation. Then brief me and the senior staff about it.”

The two officers nodded and went back to work. Then the commander turned to Herrie, “Yes, it is strange for not to mention us, but if we where not inside the Dogoda, I think he would have mentioned us too and would have communicated with us. For now we remain here until further notice, as you have heard admiral Rommel.”

“Yes sir.” Herrie said with a nod of understanding. The Commander pushed on a button on the chair and the viewer changed to the front of the Dogoda, so that he could see what is in front of the ship and what it is going to do.

Dogoda's Sickbay
As admiral Kotie looked on how Halim went to work and thought of doctor Julian Bashir, who would properly liked it here to extend his knowledge. When a gray furred woman in her doctor’s coat walked in, shook Kotie his thought off and listened. Hearing the statement of her saying that D’Garmo was thought to be dead, but well if they didn’t had that that problem, he and the other survivors where now dead for sure and perhaps more also.

The admiral raised his left hand and nodded when D’Garmo mentioned him, then he lowered his hand, so that the gray furred woman would know who he is and didn’t had to guess for him. Just before he and the others left the sickbay to go the Bridge of the ship he told the remaining persons that it was a pleasure to meet them.

Dogoda’s Coridor
The admiral walked after D’Garmo, “D’Garmo, I believe that everyone on the Dogoda is aware of your dead, but not that my crew and I have saved your life.” He said to him and looked at the others and added “and that is for you also.”

Star Trek Timeline
Meanwhile in space is a dark silhouette of a Sovereign-Class starship visible with very close behind it a yellow orange energy wave, that moves closer and then started to touch the warp nacelles of the ship and moved forward to the bow of the ship. Everywhere there are yellow energy sparks to be seen all over the outside of the ship. Inside of the ship there is not much to be noticed from the danger outside of the ship, except from light impact sounds to the outer hull of the ship.

After approximately two minutes the energy wave passed over the Enterprise and on the viewscreen on the bridge the senior officers saw the wave disappearing into subspace. “Damage report” Captain Picard asked.

A young officer looked at his console as he checked if there was any damage done to the ship or its systems, “There is no sustainable damage sir. Only that the energy wave left a strange signature behind went it passed us.” He replied to the captain while he looked at the strange signature and tried to understand it.

Captain Picard listened and thought if there could be some similarity to what has happened to the Defiant and with this energy wave. “Lieutenant Wheasly, power up and continue with course to the last known position of the Defiant at warp 8.” Picard ordered her and he sat down in the command chair. A few moments later the ships power came back online and the dark silhouette of the vessel came to live.

“The Enterprise is fully operational and the course is laid in sir.” Lieutenant Wheasly replied and waited for the signal to go.

"Engage." Picard said with his famous hand signal.

In space the warp nacelles glowed up thick blue and Enterprise warped away in space to its destination.

PostSubject: Re: A New Universe - Part 1   A New Universe - Part 1 - Page 3 EmptyWed Apr 30, 2008 5:48 pm

“Admiral.” Phaesis nodded in farewell as the small party left sick bay. He turned his attention back to Chrysta. “He worries about you, rather endearing isn’t it.” She smiled slightly, but frowned when she heard the doctors’ conversation.

“Who could have done that?” She asked softly, though not shocked. She watched as the capsule was placed into storage before looking back at Phaesis, who’s eyes glimmered blue back at her.

He shrugged. “Someone who wanted him dead.”

Suddenly, Halim’s quick, chirping voice interrupted them. "Ah, where are my manners. Mr. Phaesis, this is our lead doctor, Akilah Raunsch."

“It is a pleasure to meet you.” Phaesis replied, shaking the grey ermine’s hand.

“What brings you here?” She asked him as she glanced around. She acknowledged Chrysta with a nod, and then her eyes settled on the long rail gun portion of his assault rifle. She looked at Phaesis with fire in her eyes.

“I brought the girl in, she taken out of cryo-sleep rapidly.” Phaesis quickly answered. “I found her pod in one of the cargo decks during the pirate raid.”

The fire in her eyes cooled softly to glow of suspicion. She looked away from Phaesis to Chrysta questioningly.

“I was rescued with the others by the Defiant.” She said.

There was a soft sigh behind them, and Phaesis turned to see Pandora stirring. “Where am I?” She asked, her voice scratchy and raw and choking like she was about to cry. “Where’s mom.” She blinked as she sat slumped up and saw Phaesis. “Uncle Phaesis, I had the worst dream and someone attacked us and ...” She stopped and glanced around the room, shocked at the surroundings.

“You’re safe.” Phaesis said, reaching out with his powers and trying to quell her rising emotions. He had walked to her bed side and was about to reach out to brush her hair when he noticed he was still wearing his combat suit and it’s gloves. He reached out with his naked hand, and touched her face gently, letting his psionic powers flow through the physical touch. “Let’s get you some water.”

“Where’s my mom, where’s my dad?” She pleaded, understanding that her nightmare wasn’t a dream. Phaesis felt the sudden surge in psionic power and braced himself against it. A wave of rare terror and anguish poured out of the girl with her tears.

“No, you can’t do that.” Phaesis commanded, extending a shell of his own power around the girl, keeping her strength at bay. “Your parents are at rest and you can grieve, but you cannot let your powers loose like that.” He glanced up to see that both Chrysta and the head doctor had been knocked to their knees by the outburst.

Then he felt a tiny furry head bury itself against him and sob uncontrollable. Uncomfortable, Phaesis patted her head and let her cry.

IS:

Dogoda Bridge

The hologram had long flickered away, and the bridge fell silent.

"Are you sure it is wise to keep the Department in the dark about our guests, Grigory?" Vaal asked, concerend.

"I will confer with the admiral before I reveal them. Their ship is advanced aand carried unique technology. If they are revealed, theres a good chance they may face bounty hunters, or worse, a Zaibatsu 'acquisition' team. They're already exposed to the pirates, I'd rather spare them."

"Perhaps, you're right." Vaal voiced, unconvinced. "To me, it seems rude to not acknowledge, how we were saved."

Grigory slid his ever smoking pipe to the side of his mouth, and chuckled. "This trip will take a little while. Vaal, go get some rest, you've been up for far too long, dealing with Hadred's mindless demands. I'll handle the bridge."

Vaal stood reluctantly. "Aye, Captain, if you say so. I'll be in my quarters then."

Vaal walked to the bridge door and headed out into the hall. Grigory puffed away silently on his pipe.

----

Dogoda Corridor

D'Garmo nodded as Kotie spoke.

"I was making house calls to the Colonists who were afraid to visit sickbay. By all rights, I probably should be dead." D'Garmo gave a sad laugh. "Killed by my own charity, mom was right."

Ganzer gave him a sideways glance.

"Oh, its nothing." D'Garmo hastily said. "Regardless, things would be difficult, if we didn't report to the Captain. Last thing we need is to be confused for Vacuum Ghouls."

Ganzer nodded.

The group stopped in front of a Mag-Lev tube, and Ganzer pushed the summons button. Momentarily there was a clicking noise, and a woosh of air as the tube opened letting in air, and revealing Commander Vaal. Vaal looked suprised to see them, and gave a quizical look to Ganzer.

"We were on our way to report to the Captain." Ganzer said, quickly saluting.

Dogoda Sickbay

Halim pushed a button on the edge of the bed, and spoke. "Ixtu, you are required in Sickbay." Turning to Achmed, "I'm sure you'll like Ixtu."

Achmed looked to be about to respond, but before he could do so, there was a thumping noise and Halim turned quickly to see Chrysta and Akilah fall to their knees. Halim himself felt deeply saddened, and somewhat afraid.

Pushing his emotions to the side, Halim quickly stepped over to help the lead doctor to her feet, as Chrysta rose on her own.

Akilah shook her head as if to clear her thoughts, still looking very saddened. "Au... Augh... A ps... psion?" bracing herself, she breathed slowly. "I was utterly unprepared for that."

Chrysta stood silently, looking on the crying child.

Akilah turned to Halim. "Back to your patient." Halim gave a wounded look and returned to Achmed. Putting her hand on Chrysta's shoulder, she pulled her gently away. "We'll give you a moment to yourselves, Mr. Phaesis."

The doors of the sickbay opened and a humanoid formed of what looked to be blue and white plastic entered the room. Its face was a black slate with a glowing yellow sideway smiling emoticon plastered on it. Its chest had a red cross painted on it. the android looked quite used with dents and cracks on it's plastic interior.

Hailm smiled. "Ixtu, glad to see you're so prompt. Please come over here and escourt Mr. Achmed to the Mess hall."

The android's emoticon disappeared for a moment as it looked towards Achmed. An ASCII picture of an eye, colored blue popped on and blinked in and out. The eye, too disappeared as it looked back to Halim, to be replace by a green open mouth ASCII smiley.

"Ixtu says he is gald to meet you." Halim grinned.

OOS: Trying to respond quicker. If it isn't up to par, smack me around a bit and tell me. I can rework things if needed. :p

Ixtu is an IX-2 model (get it?) android. Unlike most IX-2 models, he is a true AI. I will probably put him up in the NPC section later. For information on the IX model android, please check the Info/Q&A thread.

Also, a vacuum ghoul is a creature that sometimes shows up in ships after casualties have claimed many lives. It is a creature born of sorrow and hate for the living. It recreates the physical forms of those who have died in a tragedy, and though unable to speak they silently infiltrate living ships and wreak havok by commiting random violent acts, especially murder.
